I bought it, coveting the class of the device and design. Impressions are ambiguous: in comparison with the 397th Yamaha, the sound is softer, without sharp highs, it is pleasant to listen to. But it plays a couple of my discs terribly (I have all licensed CDs), including SACD, from which the old budget Yamaha squeezed so much realism to the point of goosebumps. On the new amplifier, everything is somehow dull, faded, as if on some kind of music center. What's the matter, I don't know. Apparently, they say the truth that having bought top-end equipment, you will throw away half of the collection ... With the previous amplifier, everything was more predictable, its excessive brightness was corrected by the settings, and the sound pleased. Here, every time, a lottery. Appearance, pleasant sound on good disks. Some discs in your collection will not play. use Yamaha A-S1100 week |
