A functional application for remote control of the outlet, a calendar for turning on and off the power supply, monitoring energy consumption.

English-language menu in the application.

The TP-LINK smart socket solves the age—old question "Is the iron turned off?" — you can find out the status of the socket, as well as forcibly turn it on or off from anywhere where there is access to the World Wide Web.

The device looks ordinary — thanks to its laconic design, the snow-white body of the socket fits well into any interior. The smart component of the model is provided by an illuminated power button with a Wi-Fi icon, which informs about the active pairing of TP-LINK HS110 with a home wireless data network. The initial setup of connection parameters in the Kasa application for mobile devices is easy and is accompanied by interactive slides. The only thing is that the application interface is completely English. However, this minus can be translated into a plus — it is an excellent reason to learn the most common foreign language.

There are a lot of examples of using a "smart" outlet: from programming the time of turning on the kettle for making morning coffee to setting the hour of turning on the air conditioner for returning home in the hot summer heat. In winter, instead of cooling the air in the room, you can programme its heating by using an outlet to connect the heater.

The smart device is designed to work with household devices with a power of up to 3.68 kW and passes a current of up to 16 A. From the youngest model in the series (TP-LINK HS100 ) the socket has support for collecting information about energy consumption — the application generates a report on the level of energy consumed per hour, day, week or month. Agree, it is at least interesting to find out how much one or another household appliance "eats". And from a practical point of view, the monitoring function allows you to control energy costs.

17 automatic programs, Multi-cooker function, 3D heating, remote control from a smartphone or tablet, large informative display, illustrated recipe book included.

A brand-name case, sometimes Bluetooth pairing with mobile gadgets is lost.

Price from 10 000 ₴

The "Heavenly Oven" from Redmond is one of the "smart" kitchen devices that support remote control from a smartphone or tablet with the Ready fo Sky application preinstalled.

Communication between the slow cooker and mobile gadgets is established via Bluetooth with a signal reception radius of up to 50 m (in perfect conditions). Moreover, the stove can be controlled via the Internet from any corner of the globe, for which you will need to leave a smartphone gateway at home with an active connection to the slow cooker. The proprietary application opens up to users a much more developed level of functionality than when setting the cooking parameters on a large display built into the device.

There are 17 automatic programs sewn into the "brain" of the Redmond SkyCooker M92S, including the universal "Multi-cooker" mode for cooking according to your recipe. It is possible to flexibly adjust the cooking time (from 5 minutes to 12 hours) and temperature (in the range of 35-170 °C). Also, the "Multipovar" programme provides cooking dishes in a low-temperature mode under vacuum, which allows you to keep the lion's share of useful substances in them.

In terms of equipment, the multivark is provided with everything necessary, including an illustrated book for 200 recipes. Many recipes with step-by-step instructions are also described in the Ready for Sky app. The number of negative reviews about the model tends to zero, and those that are (a brand-name case and periodic loss of Bluetooth pairing) do not significantly affect the performance of the stove. In addition, the cost of the Redmond SkyCooker M92S does not differ from most classic multivars without support for remote access to all functions, which in itself is an argument in favor of the model.

Rotary design, night shooting, two-way audio communication, motion and sound detector, recording files to a memory card.

External drives with a capacity of only up to 32 GB are supported.

The range of products under the TP-LINK brand is not limited to network equipment alone. Recently, the company has made the right bet on smart devices and is actively filling the line of newly minted devices with interesting instances. An example of such a solution is the TP-LINK NC450 Wi-Fi camera.

The camera performs video recording in HD format (1280x720 pixels), capturing almost the entire surrounding reality in the field of view of its object. In fact, the angle of the object's field of view is 75°, and wide coverage is provided by a 360° rotating platform and an inclined camera "head", more precisely, a movable "eye" in it. It descends and rises vertically by 150°.

Camera rotation can be arranged remotely — from a smartphone with the tpCamera app preinstalled. The turns of the "head" are complemented by a 10x digital zoom function in order to examine small details in the image. But that's not all — in the arsenal of the camera there are motion and sound detectors, as well as infrared illumination for night mode shooting with a range of IR rays up to 8 m. Access to TP-LINK NC450 is also possible via the web interface.

To save the captured video, a cloud data storage or a microSD memory card is used. The flash drive is not included in the package of the device, and its maximum volume is limited to 32 GB — a lot of external storage simply will not fit. The story about the camera would be incomplete without mentioning its support for two-way audio communication. A built—in microphone paired with a speaker turns the model into a kind of walkie-talkie and opens another case of its use — as a video nanny.

A wide range of measurements, analysis of body composition indicators, large informative display, functional application, recognition of up to 16 users.

Footprints remain on the glass surface of the scales.

The recipe for the success of high—tech scales from Garmin is simple: we take a stylish "wrapper", wrap advanced diagnostic functions in it and voila — weight control at home becomes not a burden, but begins to bring joy.

As usual, the main function of the model is to determine the user's weight (up to 180 kg). The units of measurement are represented by kilograms familiar to our latitudes, pounds in the American manner and stones in the British. If the scales were not "smart", this could be limited, but they can analyze other indicators of body composition: the percentage of fat and water in the body, muscle and bone mass, as well as determine the body mass index.

All measured indicators are collected together in the Garmin Connect for PC or Connect Mobile for mobile gadgets application, for which a Wi-Fi connection is used. Based on data obtained from Garmin sports accessories, the application builds a graph that shows the dependence of body mass index on lifestyle. Moreover, the linked programme provides access to detailed statistics of weight measurements for various time periods (from a week to a whole year).

The scales can automatically recognize up to 16 users (if each of them has an account in the Garmin service). In cases where the weight of some users is within the same limits, you will need to select the desired name on the device screen by clicking on the top panel with your foot. The maximum number of characters in a name is limited to four. After carrying out the measurement procedure, it is advisable to wipe the surface of the scales from footprints.

The energy supply of the scales is provided by 4 "finger" batteries hiding in a niche on the back of the device. They will have to be changed infrequently (on average, once a year). In general, Garmin Index Smart Scale will be of interest to those people who are actively engaged in sports and monitor their weight, as well as the nutrition system — synchronization with the MyFitnessPal application allows you to adjust statistics in accordance with the diet of the products consumed.

Excellent cleaning quality, scheduled operation, a set of cameras and sensors for the orientation of the vacuum cleaner in the room, remote control from a smartphone or tablet.

There is no manual control mode.

Automating the cleaning processes in the apartment is not so difficult — for this you will need to get a robot vacuum cleaner. The products of the American brand iRobot are very popular with the public. But if the flagship iRobot Roomba 980 Price from 10 148 up to 33 096 ₴ you can't afford it, you can look at its closest relative — a vacuum cleaner with the digital designation 960 in the model name.

The device independently draws a virtual map of the room based on data collected from visual positioning cameras and numerous sensors on board. Sensors are able to determine the degree of contamination at the current cleaning site, obstacles on the way and help to respond to height differences. Separately from the vacuum cleaner, a beacon is installed to create a virtual wall — it creates an invisible line that the "smart cleaner" does not cross.

The vacuum cleaner has a less powerful fan than the older model. Another difference from iRobot Roomba 980 Price from 10 148 up to 33 096 ₴ lies in the battery capacity reduced by one and a half times, which, in turn, affects the time of continuous trips of the robot around the perimeter of the room. However, in terms of cleaning quality, the model does not fundamentally differ from the flagship vacuum cleaner, confidently coping with dust and small debris both in open areas and in hard-to-reach places. For example, in the corners of the room, small debris particles are captured by a side brush.

By connecting via Wi-Fi, you can control the operation mode of the robot vacuum cleaner directly from your smartphone. In the My Roomba application, the device's busy calendar is built and one of two cleaning scenarios is selected: automatic cleaning of the entire available area and Spot mode — intensive cleaning of a small area (approximately 1 m in diameter). In the latter case, the vacuum cleaner is moved to the desired location by the user. Unfortunately, manual control support was not delivered to the "cleaner", although with subsequent firmware updates, the appearance of this feature becomes quite real.
