It is intended for use on a small personal plot or in a greenhouse. With a compact and lightweight (only 1.65 kg empty) sprayer, it is convenient to take care of flowers in flowerbeds or treat individual small bushes - that is, work where plants can be closely approached. A nice bonus to all the advantages listed above is the affordable price of the device.

Fifteen liters of liquid that fit in the tank of the Ryobi RY18BPSA-0 atomizer is no small load. Therefore, this sprayer is designed like a good hiking backpack with a rigid frame. It has a tubular metal support frame to which a plastic solution container is attached. Between the tank and the user's back is a soft pad. Thanks to the four-point belt, the load is distributed not only on the shoulders, but also on the hips. The shoulder straps have pads with foam, so the straps do not cut into the shoulders. Due to this design and configuration, walking with this sprayer is very convenient and easy enough even when the tank is completely filled. In addition, the steel frame makes the device more durable, very reliable and less prone to damage. The payoff for this was a slightly increased weight. The sprayer weighs 6.3 kg (without battery), which is 1 - 2 kg more than other models of battery sprayers. But the excellent ergonomics of the device and the design, evenly distributing the load, compensate for this shortcoming.

The tank has a very wide mouth, it is convenient to pour the solution into it or wash the container from the inside. Inside there is a diaphragm pump, which creates a high pressure (up to 5.9 bar), which allows you to spray a jet of 2 - 2.5 meters. The latch on the handle makes it possible to fix the trigger in the pressed position and conduct continuous watering. The shape of the jet can be changed by rearranging interchangeable nozzles. The kit includes several nozzles: a regular universal “cone”, a “fan” with a flat nozzle and an adjustable nozzle with a variable opening geometry. The device is very quiet. In terms of noise and vibration levels, cordless sprayers outperform gasoline sprayers in the same class, so gardeners using the Ryobi RY18BPSA-0 will not have a headache from the noise.

Ryobi 18V ONE+ batteries are compatible with this sprayer but are not included. It is better to buy a 5 Ah battery. But if you already have a smaller battery (for example, from a screwdriver, grinder or jigsaw), then you can use them.

The 15 liter sprayer is great for the garden. But if you plan to work primarily in the greenhouse, then of course you should choose a small cordless atomizer, like the 3.5-liter Ryobi OWS1880 machine.

Non-removable battery - lead-gel type. It is easy to use, but quite heavy. Therefore, the sprayer turned out to be not easy at all. In the "dry" state, it weighs 7.6 kg (a kilogram or two more than devices of the same volume and size, equipped with lithium-ion batteries).

The working pressure is not a record one (4.3 bar), but quite sufficient to form a powerful jet that hits a couple of meters. When working with plants that require careful handling, the pressure can be changed using the regulator located directly on the handle, controlling its value on the pressure gauge. The spray tube is not very long (50 cm), but the hose with a dense textile braid has a sufficient length - 1.5 m. The pump has two modes of operation (they differ in fluid supply capacity), which are switched using a toggle switch. At the bottom of the tank there is a hole for draining the remaining liquid, thanks to which you can empty the tank after work or washing without turning the machine over.

The AL-KO Solo 417 sprayer is designed to work in a large garden or a fairly large greenhouse. It can also be used for indoor disinfection and treatment of cowsheds or poultry farms. At a construction site, such an apparatus can be useful for applying fire protection to wooden structures.
