It also has everything you need for comfortable everyday use: duplication of incoming messages, notifications and calls, the ability to answer calls (speaker and microphone to help), Siri voice assistant, built-in player and Apple Pay contactless payment. The manufacturer claims 18 hours of battery life on a single charge, but with not too active use (notifications on, average screen brightness, limited sensor operation), the battery can last one and a half to two days. Of course, the included GPS significantly reduces this time. But there is a power saving mode that disables some background processes and increases autonomy up to several days.

In general, the watch received many of the functions of older models, but at the same time they are significantly cheaper. Although, compared to devices from other companies, they are definitely not budget. Therefore, we can recommend them to those buyers who are looking for an inexpensive gadget to work in conjunction with the iPhone.

Many smartphone manufacturers have at least one or more smartwatch models in their assortment, but Google has seriously delayed this: the first “pixel” watches debuted only in 2022. But the pioneer turned out to be very successful - at least in terms of design. This also applies to functions for health and activity: the watch supports many sports modes, from standard to more specific, can measure heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, do ECG, count the number of steps taken, monitor sleep, stress levels and the female cycle. In addition, after the start of sales, Google added a fall detection function. There is a similar option in Apple Watch and Samsung Galaxy Watch : the system understands when the user has fallen and does not move, and if he does not respond to signals in any way, he contacts emergency services and sends them the location.

For some reason, the manufacturer used the Exynos 9110 processor, which was introduced back in 2018, as an “engine”. A strange decision, but, nevertheless, there are no problems with performance. But the amount of memory is clearly not stingy: the watch offers 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory. Another plus for the model is the Wear OS operating system without any shells, like “pure” Android on Google Pixel smartphones. The gadget works in tandem with any Android phone and is not compatible with Apple iPhones. Although fans of "apple" products are unlikely to be offended - they often choose branded watches.

You can only complain about autonomy: apparently, due to the small size, a not too capacious 294 mAh battery is installed inside. With normal use, the device will have to be charged daily, if you save the charge, it can last for two days. And if for Apple Watch this is quite a normal indicator, then models from other manufacturers have gone far ahead, providing 10-15 or even more days of battery life.

Garmin knows a lot about smartwatches, so you can be sure that by choosing a manufacturer’s model, you will get a multifunctional gadget with a high-quality assembly, nice design and many useful features. Unlike the brutal Fenix series and massive representatives, for example, the Forerunner and Instinct lines, the second generation Garmin Venu is a classic round watch that has not sacrificed appearance for advanced features. Moreover, the manufacturer followed in the footsteps of Apple and Samsung and released two versions at once - the 45mm Venu 2 for men and the thinner and lighter 40mm Venu 2S for women.

The latter have a smaller screen, and with it the battery, as well as an expanded color palette. On a thin female wrist, they look great, quick-release straps and a large selection of colors will be appreciated by lovers of diversity and experimentation. The 1.1-inch AMOLED display, protected by Gorilla Glass 3, delivers a clear picture even in bright sunlight, and the case has a 5ATM water resistance, so that the device is not afraid of active daily use.

As for health and sports, here Garmin has collected all the latest developments and endowed the device with just a huge number of options that will help you better understand what is happening with the body and pump your physical capabilities. Built-in sensors allow you to measure the level of oxygen in the blood and pulse, monitor the quality of sleep, determine the level of stress, monitor breathing, there is even a thermometer to fix the ambient temperature. In addition, the gadget monitors energy levels throughout the day, monitors water balance and determines the so-called sports age - an assessment of the condition based on real age, duration of active exercise, body fat percentage, body mass index and heart rate. Especially for women, the Garmin Connect app has the ability to track your period and pregnancy, with exercise and nutrition recommendations.

With 25 sport modes, the watch can be your personal trainer with animated workouts, Garmin Coach for running, and over 1,400 exercises to create your workout routine. At the same time, the built-in GPS receiver accurately determines your location, and the internal memory allows you to download your favorite tracks and listen to music through wireless headphones without a smartphone.

Another plus of the model is good autonomy. With normal use, battery life is up to 10 days, but with GPS turned on, it drops significantly, to 19 hours without music and up to 7 hours with audio. There is also contactless payment using Garmin Pay, which is also, no doubt, a big plus. Perhaps the only thing that upsets is the inability to make calls from the watch. The device only duplicates incoming calls and messages, the maximum that you can do is answer a text message, and even then only if the watch is paired with an Android smartphone. It's a pity, because the Garmin Venu 2S are not cheap and are considered competitors of the Apple Watch.
