I used the FX-4, it was an ancient processor but handled everything. I decided to upgrade my PC since I had some savings. Initially, I wanted to buy a Ryzen because the motherboard was suitable for future upgrades, but I changed my mind after reading AMD news. It’s an excellent, albeit old, processor, I use it in 2020 and everything is ok, better than any new i3 and quite competes with the i7 2600-4770, depending on the game. I use it without overclocking, memory 1600 16GB. All games run on high-ultra settings. No friezes were observed. Very cold percent, maximum 40 degrees, under the cnps10x tower. There are no competitors for this price, especially with the current dollar. After PS4, the performance seems simply cosmic, heaven and earth. + the process is already 8 years old. Of course, it’s better to take new Ryzen, but the performance of the fx is completely sufficient even now. I will update it after the console generation changes. Price. 8 cores. No friezes. Процессору уже 8 лет, а он всё ещё актуален. При провальном разгоне памяти и процессора FX конкурирует с современными intel. У меня CPU на 4.35 и ОЗУ на 2133 играю уже 3 года и счастлив. Спасибо game one за видео о FX. Нужна хорошая DDR3 рагоная память.

Still a hit
Despite the release of the new Ryzen line, one of the best-selling AMD processors remains FX and specifically models with the index "6" and "8". One of the most powerful among them is the FX-8370, the main advantage of which is the presence of eight cores at a fairly low price. The average price of the FX-8370 in online stores is just above $100, which makes it one of the best AMD processors for demanding PC games.
8 cores with auto overclocking function
The FX-8370 is equipped with 8 cores with a frequency of 4 GHz, which, if necessary, are overclocked to 4.3 GHz using TurboCore technology. When overclocked manually, you can achieve even more impressive 4.6 — 4.7 GHz. However for this you will have to take care of installing a powerful cooler — right on the box, the manufacturer warns that the processor is quite hot. The FX-8370 is compatible with socket AM3+ motherboards and supports the still popular DDR3 memory.
The FX-8370 does not have an integrated graphics card, which helped keep the price of the processor below sea level. The logic here is quite simple: in addition to 8 performant cores, most people buy a separate graphics card, and the integrated one remains just for show.
High frame rate at the best price
Paired with a GTX 1060 or RX570 graphics card, this chip will allow you to comfortably play at medium-high graphics settings in demanding hits of the past generation like "Battlefield 1" and "Grand Theft Auto V". For completely fresh shooters like Far Cry 5 and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, this will not be enough, yet the last couple of years of the game have noticeably raised the bar of requirements. At the same time, you will feel the full power of 8 cores if you render video or write hits in Ableton with 99 plugins on the master bus.
