I use this headset for the second month. I took it for everyday wear, since my favorite Sony WH1000XM3, due to its design, leaves a mark on the hair (the hairstyle is washed out. Yes, yes, Apple Boy, etc. You can mock :) The sound is subjective, but I would rate it a four. Well, this is primarily a headset for communication, watching movies on the road and podcasts, and not headphones for enjoying music. Noise canceling is adequate but not top-notch. When turned on, it is not critical, but it significantly distorts the frequency response. They sit comfortably in the ears, do not fly out. If you are not embarrassed by the size and there is no specific purpose to buy airpods, then I would definitely recommend SONY WF1000xm4 for purchase. Of course they will be tighter. For Android users, it makes no sense at all to consider buying them. For the Apple ecosystem, perhaps the best choice. The sound could be better. Although it's not directly bad. Now a few words about purchasing another copy of AirPods Pro on the Beru marketplace. I saw an interesting offer for the sale of AirPods Pro (total 17880₽ - a discount of 881₽), and I decided to use a coupon for 5000₽ and exchanged bonuses Thank you (the total was only 11999₽). The headphones were delivered, but I was immediately confused by the packaging. The special tab, by pulling which is supposed to easily remove the packaging, simply fell off, and the plastic packaging itself seemed suspiciously thick. Replacement ear pads, which should be fixed on a special cardboard platform, were just lying around. The cover of the charging box is loose, the headphones themselves have a non-standard engraving. Connecting to an iPhone eliminated all doubts: this was obviously a cheap Chinese counterfeit. We managed to connect the headphones, but the “transparency” and “noise reduction” modes did not work. Changing regimes did not lead to anything. The sound was simply disgusting, and the connection kept falling off every now and then. It’s sad when a giant like Yandex allows something like this to be posted on its trading platform, disguising cheap fakes as premium products, luring customers with discounts. I've been using the original AirPods Pro since they came out and have something to compare it to. These headphones were intended as a gift. While I’m at the stage of returning the goods, the money will probably be returned, but most likely no one will reimburse the 5000 coupon, as well as the wasted nerves and time. I've been using these headphones since November 2019, ordered them by pre-order on apple.ru. The active noise cancellation and transparency functions work perfectly. The sound quality isn't the most brilliant, but it's quite adequate. Of course, to use them to the fullest, you can only do so in the Apple ecosystem. We're waiting for iOS14, where they should receive the "spatial audio" function and quick switching between different Apple devices. The case is easily soiled (which is typical for AirPods). Over time, many may experience cheeks and crackles in active noise canceling and transparency modes. The solution is to go to an official service center, where they can be replaced with new ones without any problems. Not a remix but a remake
In 2019, Apple took the development of true wireless headphones seriously, introducing three new models at once: the second version of the regular AirPods, Apple Beats Solo on-ears and the all-new AirPods Pro, which were developed without much regard for the first and second generation of AirPods, Now these are pure vacuum headphones with silicone tips (so be sure to measure them before buying, they may not fit), they have become larger (there are more electronics inside), but due to the shortened “legs” they look neater than their predecessors. Another big innovation is the IPX4 sweat and water resistance of these little ones, which means active sports.
More convenient control system
The control system has also been completely redesigned. If AirPods of the first and second generation relied on an accelerometer and tapping on the body, then here we have small panels with pressure sensors that allow you to pause playback, switch tracks and turn on the “transparency” mode. With it, the headphones specifically pass external sound through the built-in microphones so that the user hears what is happening around. In general, managing the new Pro has become more convenient, although the system also takes some getting used to.
Built-in calibration
But the most interesting and unusual innovation is the connection calibration mode. The smartphone sends a test signal and compares the sound in the earpiece with the level outside, after which the AirPods Pro understand how well or poorly the nozzle fits. Sometimes the system advises just pulling out and inserting the earpiece back, sometimes replacing the nozzle. Calibration affects both the quality of active noise cancellation and the overall sound quality. And this is again an occasion to talk about changes. Thanks to the vacuum fit and new custom drivers, the sound quality has changed dramatically: the new product has a great dynamic range, the bass has become much more powerful and can be heard even in the subway, the sound spectrum has become smoother and does not sag in the upper mids. Their character is universal, with the expectation of the most motley audience, and the overall sound level is excellent for wireless headphones.
Issue price
Against the background of all this, there is essentially one minus and this is again a damn high price, it exceeds $300. However, given their convenience, versatility and the amount of electronics stuffed into each headphone, such a price tag looks quite justified. Yes, and additional chips like a case with support for wireless charging also cost money.
