This is not thermal paste, it's thermal clay. Previously, I used to spread it over the entire surface, but the MX-6 is dry and thick, it just doesn't stick to the surface and comes off in pieces. So I gave up, as it's not economical, and just placed it crosswise in strips and smushed it together.
