Advanced gaming laptops from the Asus The Ultimate Force series (2024 release), designed for demanding gamers. Among most other laptops in the TUF series, they stand out due to their powerful hardware, more typical of the pricier gaming laptops in the ROG series. The brain of all laptops in the series is the incredibly powerful 24-thread Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 (Strix Point, Zen 5) processor, delivering unprecedented performance in the most demanding games and professional applications.
For video processing, they feature an advanced NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 graphics accelerator with 8 GB of video memory, an extended power consumption limit up to 140W, and support for DLSS 3, capable of dramatically increasing gaming frame rates through upscaling and frame generation. High-speed LPDDR5X-7500 memory of 32 GB ensures the necessary reserve for particularly demanding recent games, while the integrated M.2 SSD with up to 2048 GB provides reliable and swift storage for a collection of favorite games.
All Asus TUF Gaming A16 2024 FA608WI laptops feature an identical 16-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2560x1600 pixels, instantaneous response time (3 ms), high refresh rate (165 Hz), and support for NVIDIA G-Sync/Adaptive-Sync. Thanks to this set of qualities, it delivers clear and smooth images even in extremely challenging and dynamic gaming situations. Additionally, the series boasts a high-class gaming keyboard with Aura Sync RGB backlighting, a stereo system with Dolby Atmos, a gigabit LAN-controller with a Wi-Fi 6E wireless receiver, a modern port set including one USB4, a 3D face scanner, fast charging, and a durable MIL-STD-810 certified body.

I have been using the laptop for several months. Asus does not seem to work on the quality of their updates, they come out and things only get worse. After updating the Bluetooth driver, my headphones won't connect to the laptop if I put it to sleep; I have to reboot the system. I always have a monitor connected (180 Hz gaming) with HDR display, and I play Horizon Forbidden West. The graphics card does not deliver full power after the laptop has been in sleep mode, and over time in the game, the fps starts to drop to a critically low 50fps with DLLS 3 + frame generation, resulting in a very choppy image. It's not overheating (the graphics card and CPU are around 76 degrees), and I'm sure the problem lies with the faulty BIOS. To fix it, you have to reboot the laptop again, while previously it was enough just to restart the game. In sleep mode, the keyboard occasionally blinks, I have disabled this feature several times, but it keeps blinking. I bought a USB-C to DisplayPort cable supporting 8k 60 Hz display. After waking from sleep, the image looks like an old black and white TV, you have to unplug and replug the cable. I have no programs that hinder the system's performance as I am tech-savvy and don't install unnecessary software. Everything is strictly licensed. This is anything but a gaming laptop! With very raw software. I do not recommend this model. Design, camera with Face ID, battery Everything else |
