A family of low-cost laptops from Asus with modest functionality and a large selection of hardware configurations based on the Intel Alder Lake platform. Includes the Asus X 2022 series, designed for the low-cost conscious user looking for a low-cost laptop that requires the most basic performance. This is a rare line of laptops by 2022 standards that still use dual-core Intel Core i3 processors, from which it is difficult to demand high performance.
In addition, the Asus X515FA laptops are equipped with 8 GB of RAM, an integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 graphics adapter and a 256 GB M.2 SSD. This option is able to ensure the operation of any office and business-oriented applications, it is excellent for study or multimedia entertainment, but it is not very suitable for solving more complex tasks. To display the image, there is a standard 15.6-inch TN + film display with Full HD resolution, modest color reproduction, a standard brightness indicator and viewing angles limited for this type of matrix.
To connect to the network, there is a network module with Wi-Fi 5 support, and the set of wired interfaces is limited to standard HDMI, USB C and several USBs. The keyboard is adapted for long-term typing, so for convenience, the manufacturer moved the numeric keypad from the right side of the keyboard to the inside of the touchpad area. Asus has successfully tested a similar solution in premium ultrabooks from the Zenbook series.
