I am an avid fisherman and together with my friends in spring, summer and autumn we often ride bicycles along the surrounding water bodies or go far away by car. Fishing overnight or in the evening, which ends already in the dark, requires a convenient flashlight and I purchased this wonderful model. If I had been told six months ago that one LED could produce SUCH LIGHT FLOW, I would not have believed it. Its main advantage is power. The strength of a single LED is such that it shines confidently at 150-200 meters. According to the passport, the range is indicated as 800, but it is difficult to verify this. The light in the narrow cone is so powerful that I call this flashlight a searchlight. 1000 lumens of a focused luminous flux is no joke, if by chance from a short distance one shines into eyes accustomed to darkness, then a person then catches bunnies for five minutes. In a defocused form, the cone turns out to be wide, the angle of divergence to the eye is about 50-55 degrees. If full power is not needed, then you can turn on the 50% mode. It is also bright and at a distance of up to 50-70 meters shines be healthy. There is also a strobe mode. Probably, with its help you can honk at a fairly large distance, but I don’t need it. Complete batteries are complete garbage. At full power, the lantern sits down in 20-30 minutes. First, they are 30 percent lighter in weight than they should be. Secondly, their capacity is THREE TIMES less than that of normal branded ones. And, finally, thirdly, they do not have protection against deep discharge and therefore are killed in 10-15 cycles. Be sure to change batteries! With normal 3500 mA batteries, the flashlight shines for more than two hours. |
IN SHORT - The flashlight is very good for the money, I bought my phoenix for 700 UAH at the OLD rate, and this is just a gift now, just fork out for the batteries, I didn’t even have the awesome 18650 Sanyo Li-Ion 2600mAh or 3400mAh in my wallet. Unbelievably powerful light for its price. The flashlight is an awesome bomb for its price, judging by the light, even not for its price. If anyone interested is reading, it illuminates better in low beam than the Fenix HP10 (more diffused and cooler, depending on the zoom adjustment, for example, my friend's has a cold LED - around 5000 so it shines about the same but a bit cooler around 5500-6500), and in high beam depending on the weather, either the same or better (by weather I mean twilight and fog, as the Fenix has a warmer light that illuminates better in such conditions). Although the Fenix is smaller, in terms of weight, mine with Eneloop batteries (by the way, the best brand today, I have both Ansman, Japan vs Germany was 1:1 at capacities respectively 2000-2850, so judge for yourself) 285 grams for the Fenix flashlight, and this one is 235, lighter apparently, BUT the batteries here [censored] are native, tested, my Fenix for example lasts more than an hour, maybe even two, on the third mode-120 lumens, this Chinese beauty with [censored] light, but battery [censored] tested - noticeably drains in 10 minutes, and now looking at it - not visible at all, 30 minutes have passed, for comparison my Fenix became this pale after about 20 hours. Battery packs are expensive; buying them is a MUST!!! Conclusion!!!!!! Change the batteries, I weighed my Ansmann and Sanyo in AA format, they weigh about 28-30 grams, while these same Chinese 18650 that come in the kit also weigh 28 grams. Have you seen their size? They're Chinese dummies; the branded Sanyo ones should weigh around 40 grams. By the way, I found their review while searching for the brand name. And I remember in the magazine, Sanyo won, but the black ones have higher capacity, while the white ones are more durable (I've had them for two years now and use them a couple of times a year and they seem fine, like new - I haven’t measured with devices, just by eye).
