I am engaged in laying computer networks both in apartments and in offices. However, a good impact drill is usually a corded tool, and for a small amount of work (for example, to bring a cable into an apartment to a router at the door), unwinding the cords and plugging into an outlet takes much more time than working with the tool itself. For such a situation, I bought this battery model. If the work promises to be simple, then such a tool is very convenient. The drill and impact drill function allows you to easily drill drywall and wood, as well as concrete, stone, tile and even steel. The rotation speed of the cartridge in this mode reaches 1700 rpm, which is usually enough for any materials. The screws also turn great, there is an intelligent tightening force regulator. It weighs a little, has an ergonomic handle with a rubber coating, the hand almost does not get tired of it. It has a good package, including a spare battery, a quick charger and a practical case. Has an official two-year warranty. The weak point of this model is still batteries. From prolonged drilling, they run out of steam quite quickly, and in the cold they die in just a couple of minutes. Torque and speed control
The Bosch GSB 180-LI 06019F8300 model is equipped with a 20-position clutch for adjusting the torque relative to the hardness of the working material, smoothly changing the force of rotation of the cartridge (not to be confused with rotation speed). The maximum torque of the tool is 54 Nm. The rotation speed is changed by pressing the start button. Some users really note that the start button is quite rigid, so it is difficult to adjust the speed in the process of screwing in the screw. Additionally, the speed of the cartridge can be adjusted with a two-position lever at 450 and 1700 rpm, respectively. The first speed is useful for driving screws up to 100 mm long, and the second speed is convenient for screwing in small self-tapping screws and drilling holes. Unfortunately, the device does not drill holes larger than 8 mm in concrete, so it will not be possible to screw in “thick” self-tapping screws.
Quick access to carbon brushes
The manufacturer has provided in the model the presence of quick access to carbon brushes, which is made in the form of a plastic cover at the base of the screwdriver. Thanks to it, the user will be able to quickly change the carbon brushes without having to go to a service centre. The unit is also equipped with a braking mechanism that blocks the rotation of the cartridge immediately after releasing the start button. Thus, you don't have to wait until the drill stops turning to put the screwdriver down. The case is made of durable plastic, and the handles are rubberized for a comfortable grip.
Fast charger
The screwdriver is equipped with two batteries at the same time, but their capacity is quite small — only 1.5 Ah. Also, they do not have a charge indicator, so it is difficult to control their discharge. I am glad that the manufacturer has provided the option of replacing the battery with a more capacitive one (purchased separately). It is worth noting the fast charger, in which the battery is charged in less than an hour.
