A very cool and serious superzoom. Everything in it is geared for shooting at long distances. Reports and landscapes are its forte. Portraits are not as good, but it all depends on experience and skill. And in the end, it's Canon, and that says it all. There are no bad Canons. The main advantage is the biggest ultra-zoom. You can shoot secretly, reach with a glance where no one even suspects your presence. At the same time, the stabilizer even at maximum zoom allows for handheld shooting. Incredible, but true! I've been using it for 4 months and I'm very satisfied! I bought exactly what I wanted. I really don't understand those who say the camera is worthless. (It's like comparing a bus to a car; each item is intended for specific uses.) If you want something better, then get a DSLR, but consider how much a lens with equivalent zoom like in the SX 30IS will cost. In its class, it's THE BEST at the moment!!! Breathtaking zoom. Even at maximum zoom, the photos are excellent, with stabilization so effective that at 35x, taking pictures handheld doesn't blur the image. The battery lasts a long time. There are so many settings, it’s hard to remember them all. Beginners may find it quite challenging to understand without specialized literature. Stylish design. Everything is so refined that there's nothing to criticize (all the covers, latches, buttons...). Great swivel screen. Question about Canon PowerShot SX30 IS Подскажите пожалуйста, как настроить чтобы показывал Дисплей !
что-то нащелкала и теперь дисплей нечего не показывает,темнота,а вот когда просто сфоткаешь потом нажимаешь на показ фотография и дисплей показывает фотографии и кроме них нечего не показывает (((

The camera has a 14 megapixel 1/2.3-inch CCD sensor, which allows you to take high-resolution images of 4320x3240 pixels at an ISO sensitivity of 80 to 1600. The only obvious drawback is that the designers have deprived it of the ability to shoot in RAW format. Therefore, the owners will have to rejoice only in the presence of JPEG with support for EXIF information (version — 2.2).

Footage is saved to SDHC and SDXC memory cards that support Eye-Fi wireless connection, allowing the camera to be synchronized with external devices for data transfer.
