An affordable ticket to the world of full-frame cameras from the Japanese company Canon. The mirrorless full-frame baby is based on a 26.2 MP image sensor without a stabilizer plate. The standard sensitivity range of the matrix ranges from 100 to 40,000 ISO units, it can be expanded with hardware up to ISO 102400. Another important plus for the Canon EOS RP body gets for the proprietary Dual Pixel AF autofocus system, which will come in handy when taking pictures in LiveView and recording video (up to 4K resolution with a frame rate of 25 fps, but with a crop factor of 1.6x).
Autofocus in the arsenal of the camera relies on 4779 focus points. It is proposed to build a frame by clinging your eye to the OLED viewfinder window or according to the 3-inch touch screen on a swivel hinge. In matters of continuous shooting, the mirrorless demonstrates a rate of fire of 4 fps with tracking autofocus and 5 fps with focus on the first frame. Gadgets from the outside keep in touch with the camera via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless networks. In the Body configuration, the camera is supplied without a lens in addition.

Great camera for hobbyists. If you need a compact camera for every day photography, this is exactly what you need. Focus on the eye easily keeps up with my daughter at f / 1.8. You absolutely do not need a computer to send photos on vacation: you just sit down to eat in a cafe, and you upload the photos to the general chat in viber directly from the camera. Due to the bluesub, the camera is easy to control leaving it on a tripod, and with Wi-Fi it can still be configured. In general, the camera produces an excellent picture and its chamber colors can be used right on the fly. The focus field is full screen, so you can safely set the tracking autofocus forever and change it only to tracking the eye (U1 - for the eye, U2 - somehow differently). Auto iso! With this, I had such problems on fuji and on nikon. Here it works as it should: first the shutter speed slows down, then the ISO rises, then the shutter speed slows down! And that's all! I forgot about the manual mode, because. the camera itself can adjust itself in difficult conditions, like a bright sun and sharp shadows from clouds, and I just twist the exposure compensation by choosing the right exposure according to the histogram. Easy! She's really light! I don't part with her. RP + 50mm - this is what you need. After d610, this is straight manyunya. Fast autofocus, swivel screen, Wi-Fi and blue tooth. When working as a webcam, it is cool to focus on the eye. Focus does not hunt when I change position in the chair. A lot of restrictions: 4k is bad, DD is bad - better not be mistaken in exposure, autofocus on the eye is not reliable, i.e. if there is light behind the person, it is difficult for the camera to find the person. Silent mode is hidden and gives a strong rolling tent effect. The switch is on the left, the front wheel is on top, there is no button or something under the thumb where the p6 has a joystick, the smart focus mode is too small. The camera is great for those who don't shoot weddings!
For the rest, it's perfect. You can charge via Power Delivery (although you can’t take pictures at this time), or take a second original battery right away. The Canon EOS RP is a mirrorless full-frame camera with a focus on accessibility to a wide audience, whether they are passionate photo enthusiasts or even professional photographers.

The role model for the model was the Canon EOS 6D Mark II mirror full frame. It was from him that the camera borrowed the main link — a full-frame image sensor with a resolution of 26.2 MP. Together with it, a powerful Digic 8 processor is installed “under the hood” of the camera. The camera matrix works out a native sensitivity range from 100 to 40,000 ISO units, and the rate of fire of a mirrorless camera during continuous photography has a threshold of 4 fps(or 5 fps when focus on the first frame).
Lightweight design
The model is assembled in a compact case with dimensions of 133x85x70 mm and a weight of 485 g. After a long day of filming, your neck will thank you. In order to reduce the weight and size indicators and reduce the cost of production, the camera did not get a built-in matrix stub. But in its proper place here is the proprietary Dual Pixel CMOS AF autofocus system, covering 100% of the field of the future frame horizontally and 88% of the vertical image area. In total, there are 4,779 focus points in the autofocus arsenal on board the mirrorless camera.
4K video
The camera is equipped with a 0.39-inch diagonal OLED viewfinder, a screen that can be rotated in all planes with support for touch input, and a full range of up-to-date wireless communications. The model can also be used in video recording — videos are recorded on the camera in the maximum resolution of 4K with a bit rate of 120 Mbps. However in this case, you will have to be content with a 1.6x image crop. Another weakness of the full frame is battery life (250 shots per battery charge according to CIPA standards). But with an eye to the affordable price tag and compact size, these disadvantages can be safely pushed into the background.
