An affordable ticket into the world of full-frame cameras from the Japanese company Canon. This full-frame “little one” of mirrorless design is based on an image sensor with a resolution of 26.2 MP without a stabilizing platform. The standard sensitivity range of the sensor varies from 100 to 40,000 ISO, which can be expanded up to ISO 102400 using hardware means.
Another important advantage for the Canon EOS RP body is its branded Dual Pixel AF autofocus system, which comes in handy for photography in LiveView and video recording (up to 4K resolution at a frame rate of 25 fps, but with a crop factor of 1.6x). The autofocus arsenal of the camera relies on 4779 focus points. You can compose the shot by peering through the window of the OLED viewfinder or by using the information from the 3-inch sensor display on a swivel hinge. When it comes to continuous shooting, the mirrorless camera demonstrates a shoot rate of 4 fps with continuous autofocus and 5 fps with first-frame focus. External gadgets maintain a connection with the camera via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless networks. In the Body configuration, the camera is delivered without a lens included.

An excellent camera for hobbyists. If you need a compact everyday camera for photos, this is just what you need. The eye focus easily keeps up with my daughter using f/1.8. You absolutely don't need a computer to send photos while on vacation: you simply sit down to eat at a café, and upload the photos to a group chat on Viber directly from the camera. Thanks to Bluetooth, you can easily operate the camera while leaving it on a tripod, and with Wi-Fi, you can also configure it. Overall, the camera produces great images and its colors are good enough to use straight away. Focus is available across the entire screen, so you can set the continuous autofocus permanently and change it only to eye tracking (U1 - eye tracking, U2 - something else). Auto ISO! I had issues with this on Fuji and Nikon. Here it works perfectly: first the shutter speed slows down, then the ISO increases, and then the shutter speed slows down again! That's it! I've forgotten about manual mode since the camera can adjust itself in challenging conditions like bright sun and sharp shadows from clouds, and I just tweak the exposure compensation, selecting the right exposure using the histogram. It's light! Really, super light! I just can't part with it. RP + 50mm is exactly what I need. Compared to the D610, it's so small. Fast autofocus, rotating screen, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. When used as a webcam, it does a great job focusing on the eyes. The focus doesn't hunt when I change my position in the chair. A host of limitations: 4K is bad, dynamic range is poor - better not to mess up the exposure, eye autofocus isn't reliable, meaning if there's light behind a person, the camera struggles to find them. Silent mode is hidden and causes a strong rolling shutter effect. The power switch is on the left, the front wheel is on top, there's no button or anything under your thumb where the joystick is on the R6, and the smart focus mode is too small. The camera is great for those who aren't shooting weddings! It's optimal for everything else. You can charge it via Power Delivery (though you can't take pictures during this time), or you can get a second original battery right away. I don't recommend non-original ones. The role model for the model was the Canon EOS 6D Mark II mirror full frame. It was from him that the camera borrowed the main link — a full-frame image sensor with a resolution of 26.2 MP. Together with it, a powerful Digic 8 processor is installed “under the hood” of the camera. The camera matrix works out a native sensitivity range from 100 to 40,000 ISO units, and the rate of fire of a mirrorless camera during continuous photography has a threshold of 4 fps(or 5 fps when focus on the first frame).
Lightweight design
The model is assembled in a compact case with dimensions of 133x85x70 mm and a weight of 485 g. After a long day of filming, your neck will thank you. In order to reduce the weight and size indicators and reduce the cost of production, the camera did not get a built-in matrix stub. But in its proper place here is the proprietary Dual Pixel CMOS AF autofocus system, covering 100% of the field of the future frame horizontally and 88% of the vertical image area. 4K video
The camera is equipped with a 0.39-inch diagonal OLED viewfinder, a screen that can be rotated in all planes with support for touch input, and a full range of up-to-date wireless communications. The model can also be used in video recording — videos are recorded on the camera in the maximum resolution of 4K with a bit rate of 120 Mbps. However in this case, you will have to be content with a 1.6x image crop. Another weakness of the full frame is battery life (250 shots per battery charge according to CIPA standards). But with an eye to the affordable price tag and compact size, these disadvantages can be safely pushed into the background.
