In appearance, it is a brutal old-school classic. Lightweight, barely noticeable on the wrist, with a very comfortable fit. The form factor is conservative and square. The strap is convenient.
The display is clear and ergonomic; information is well visible in any lighting, and considering the rather pleasant green backlight, it reads perfectly at night as well. The main screen is without issues, though I find the date format (month-day) illogical and inconvenient, but that's a minor drawback. Operation is intuitive with all buttons labeled. Standard modes: alarm, timer, stopwatch, the classic features — you don't need more. There's a beeper that serves as feedback when pressing keys and as an alarm sound. Changing the timer is not very convenient, and there's only one, as the setting/reset button (first on the left) is recessed into the case to prevent accidental presses. It's not that easy to press either; I can only do it outward with my thumb.
In terms of protection, it's an indestructible monster that can withstand almost any impact, fall, immersion, height, nearly any conditions — it's a G-Shock in a word.
