Shock-resistant and waterproof men's quartz wrist watch with Tough Solar technology and electronic indication. They belong to the models of the popular Casio G-Shock family of the Standart Digital line of 2018. Positioned as a high-end product with enhanced functionality, aimed at fans of the classic Casio branded design, who lead an active lifestyle. Suitable for those users for whom reliable protection against moisture and traditionally high resistance to mechanical damage are important.
The massive metal case, made in the form of a solid steel part, hides a multi-layered polymer shock-absorbing structure that provides excellent resistance to sudden accelerations and shocks. Like other models of the Casio G-Shock family, the Casio GMW-B5000D-1 watch can withstand a fall from a height of 10 metres onto a flat hard surface. Another interesting feature of the device was the system of automatic synchronization of progress over the radio. It is operated in North America, Japan, China, Europe and remains operational in the western / central regions of our country. Reading the dial in the dark is provided by the bright Super Illuminator LED backlight with adjustable afterglow duration. The watch is powered by a CTL1616 rechargeable battery, which is recharged by a built-in solar battery.

This watch looks simply chic, this shiny steel case attracts the eye. I have long wanted a similar model in a steel case and finally Casio released them. Photos and videos do not convey all that beauty when you hold them in your hand, and even more so when they are worn. For me, this is probably the best model from the G-Shock series. Setting the backlight is also a thing, like a smartwatch, turned to look and the backlight turned on, the visibility of the numbers is just excellent. There are other pseudo-smart functions, as in other similar models, of which I found the most useful for myself is viewing the charge level. For hours I am as satisfied as possible, I really hope that the case is not very worn and will be covered with micro-scratches Steel case Made in Japan Solar battery There is Russian on the menu Of the small minuses for myself, I found this inability to call the timer and stopwatch with one click.
