A relatively affordable, low-noise, and versatile tower-type CPU cooler with a classic U-shaped design featuring four nickel-plated copper heat pipes, each 6 mm in diameter. It includes an impressive single-section heatsink and an effective 120 mm fan equipped with a long-lasting hydrodynamic bearing. It is distinguished by a significant declared heat dissipation capacity (up to 200 W), moderate weight (661 g), and quite moderate dimensions.
However, it's worth paying attention to the distance from the socket to the RAM slots and the height of the heat spreader plates mounted on the modules. Thanks to its set of brackets, the Deepcool AK400 CPU cooler can be mounted on any models of motherboards with Intel LGA115X/1200/1700 and AMD AM5/AM4/AM3(+) CPU sockets. The aluminum radiator consists of 50 thin aluminum fins (0.4 mm), with a total area of 5296 cm².
Thanks to its respectable performance, the Deepcool AK400 CPU cooler can be used for operating Intel or AMD processors of the Mainstream/Performance class. It can cool moderately overclocked CPUs with typical thermal output up to 220 W. The good acoustic characteristics of the device also deserve high praise. The nine-bladed DeepCool FC120P (DF1202512CM) fan, with PWM control, a durable electric motor, and a reliable hydrodynamic bearing, can vary the rotation speed from 500 to 1850 RPM.

The Deepcool AK400 is a mid-range tower cooler that pairs well with a quad- or hexa-core Core i5 and Ryzen 5 processor with low heat dissipation. It is a more powerful and quieter alternative to boxed turntables from Intel and AMD, which are not always able to meet the requirements of gamers.

The design of Deepcool AK400 is made in accordance with the classical canon - we have a 155 mm high tower with a metal radiator, which is pierced by four heat pipes. The tower is equipped with a 120 mm fan with classic wave-shaped impeller and automatic speed control up to 1850 rpm. One of the main charms of the tower is its low noise level - under peak load, the sound level meter records only 28 dB, which can definitely be written as a plus.
Possibility to replace the fan
If desired, Deepcool AK400 can be upgraded by replacing the 120mm fan with a more suitable one. It's hard to say how important this is for a cooler that costs less than $40, but it's good news just for maneuver. The manufacturer also took care of modern socket mounts, so the cooler can be easily installed on motherboards with current AMD AM5 and Intel LGA 1700 sockets for 2023.
