When buying, I was guided by the fact that it should dissipate 260 watts of heat. I bought this cooler for 14700kf, which has a maximum TDP of 253 W. The first impressions were twofold, he did not pull out this i7, the maximum temperatures were 98-100 degrees, so I had to do downvolting and then I managed to bring down the temperature to 85 degrees. There was also a problem with very thick thermal paste, which, according to the classics, could no longer be evenly distributed over the surface of the processor with a card, so I had to heat it a little with an ordinary hair dryer to make it more plastic, then everything went away. However, it was still winter at that time, 17 degrees in the room, in game tasks his temperature was rarely above 75 degrees. Now, when it has warmed up and it is already 25 in the room, in cyberpunk this processor manages to heat up to 85, and infrequent peaks reach 90 degrees. 95 degrees flashed in the tests. Since the computer is only freshly assembled, I also sinned on the case, tried to play without the side panel and cool it with an additional fan. Temperatures did not drop significantly, and there was no difference in MSI Afterburner performance. In the future, summer temperatures are generally sad. So as a conclusion, the problem is not in the case, but in the fact that this particular cooling does not remove even 200 Watts of heat from the declared 260. As a small drawback, there is still a certain hum of fans at high speeds, but for me it is critical compared to overheating. Works, good thermal insulation, price. Deepcool AK620 is a double-tower supercooler, and this is the term used to call air coolers with a TDP of over 200 watts. In the case of the AK620, the heat sink is a little, a lot, 260 watts. That is, it is enough even for long-term PL2-turboing of the latest 12-generation Core i7 and Core i9 processors. At first, you need to separately request a mount for the LGA 1700 socket.
Heavyweight Champion
The cooler weighs almost one and a half kilograms, since the steel backplate reliably protects the motherboard from bending. There are six heat pipes, contact with the processor through an intermediary plate. Like any other dual-tower cooler, the AK620 covers at least the first RAM slot. Therefore, it is recommended to install RAM modules with low heatsinks or no heatsinks at all.
Hydrodynamic bearings
But you can do something smarter — install only one fan between the towers on the cooler. For a medium-hot processor, even half the blower is enough. Two complete turntables with speeds from 500 to 1850 rpm are built on a hydraulic bearing. And this is not a low-cost hydrostatic, but a premium hydrodynamic one.
Screwdriver as a gift
The noise level even at maximum speed does not exceed 28 dB, and the uptime is at least 50K hours. The Deepcool AK620 box comes with a Y-splitter for connecting two fans to one 4-pin motherboard connector, a long screwdriver for the screws hidden between the towers, and a tube of thermal paste.
