The iron of the Austrian company First practically fits in the palm of your hand and does not take up much space in your bag. Its dimensions are 20x9.5x11 cm, while it weighs 750 g. This is not the smallest weight among travel irons, but, nevertheless, it is not as noticeable as, for example, if you took an ordinary household iron on a trip. Plus, it has a foldable handle to make it even easier to transport. Also, the voltage switch indicates that it belongs to travel devices: it allows you to work both in a 230 V and 110 V network. The cord is long enough not to be tied to an outlet — 1.9 m.

For dry ironing and steaming

The power of the model reaches 1100 W, and the sole is covered with durable stainless steel, which apparently affected the weight. However the sole is small (like the iron itself) — 18.5x9 cm, so overall things are not very convenient to iron. Depending on the type of fabric, three temperature settings are available: low for synthetics, medium for silk and wool, and high for cotton and linen.

In addition, there is a steam function at a speed of 13 g / min. A maximum temperature is required for the formation of steam, otherwise water may leak. The presence of a steam boost will help in the fight against wrinkles, and to freshen up clothes without pre-washing — the possibility of vertical steaming, which is especially convenient during a business trip or vacation.

There is a reservoir for water that holds 60 mL, so it is possible that during operation it will have to be “refilled”, especially if you use a steam boost — it consumes more liquid. And so that at the same time water does not spill onto the body of the iron or the floor, a measuring cup was put in the set.
