Target Depth Determination
A simple universal metal detector with a waterproof coil DD 6.5"x9", which works both on land and under water (the device can be submerged in water according to the control unit). It is an unpretentious and relatively compact hand-held device from the world famous company Garrett Electronics Inc, which will become a useful assistant for a novice treasure hunter. The universal detector frequency of 7.2 kHz is suitable for most search tasks.
And to expand the capabilities of the Garrett ACE 150 metal detector, it is enough to replace the standard search coil with a sensor that is optimally suited for the required conditions. This model has three search modes: standard for detecting any metals, jewelry search and coin search. When you select any of them, the device is automatically configured for a specific type of work.
The type of metal found can be determined by a 5-segment graphical scale, the depth of the target by three levels of indications and a tone sound indication that supports 4-step sensitivity adjustment. Also worth noting is the low weight of the device (1.2 kg), a durable rod with length adjustment and a good balance for long work without excessive fatigue. Powered by 4 AA alkaline batteries (LR06) or NiMH rechargeable batteries.
