Without wires
Out of the box, the model comes with an 11-inch DD-coil with additional protection, wireless headphones and a branded baseball cap(as a nice bonus). Headphones are "attached" to a metal detector using proprietary Z-Link technology, which provides sound transmission with the lowest possible delay. These, of course, are not musical hits, but a three-tone "polyphony" to inform about the nature of the detected target.

At the head of the Garrett AT Max command and control centre is a backlit LCD display with a three-colour designation of elements. The largest characters on it display two numbers of the VDI parameter (identifier of detected objects). Also on the screen you can see a 12-segment strip of the level of discrimination, an indication of the current battery charge (AA batteries), an Iron Audio slider and indicators of the depth of objects along with the selected search programme.
