Unlike most coffee makers for ground coffee, which prepare a drink without foam, which is called “americano” all over the world, the model of the Slovenian manufacturer Gorenje ATCM 730 is designed to prepare Turkish coffee. This device is difficult to attribute to a filtration or drip type due to the peculiarities of the method of preparing a drink. In this device, everything is done in a completely different way, as is customary for many standard coffee makers, and this is immediately visible at a glance. The model consists of two parts — a rectangular body with a niche and a jug. From the appearance of the appliance it may seem that it is designed to be built into a kitchen unit, but it is not.
Full temperature control
The plastic cezve of the device does not have a lid, and water is poured through its wide neck and ground coffee is poured. If desired, sugar is added there. On the back wall of the coffee pot there is a water level indicator and a plug with contact plates. When the Turks are installed in the body of the device, an audible signal is heard, indicating the correct contact. The power button with a bright LED light that activates the vertical heating element is located on the top of the case. The Optiglow technology with an optical sensor is responsible for the high-quality preparation of a drink with a characteristic foam, which controls the temperature and the moment of boiling.
