The second generation of the high-end Rockfall TKL Mecha mechanical keyboard, introduced to the market in 2023. The new modification has several important improvements: Hator Aurum switches and double sound insulation. The switches are manually lubricated from the factory, which makes the buttons operate as clearly as possible. The case has two layers of EVA foam, and there is additional sound insulation in the Space key.
Noise and vibration, which usually occur during active use of the layout, are reduced to a minimum. The Hator Rockfall TKL 2 Mecha Indigo Switch gaming mechanical keyboard operates with a polling rate of 1000 Hz. The speed of the keys is enough for effective control in the most dynamic scenes. The top of the keyboard is made of an aluminium plate, which makes the case more resistant to twisting and deflection loads.
The keyboard is supplemented with internal memory, making it possible to activate profiles with suitable macros on any computer. Keycaps are made of PBT; such buttons do not wear out even after intensive use of the layout. The connecting cord is connected via the USB-C interface. RGB lighting is available with a full range of colors and numerous flickering effects. There is proprietary software that adjusts the backlight and macro commands.

Hator Rockfall TKL 2 Mecha - this is my second keyboard from Hator, which I really love. Yes, by the first I mean the Rockfall EVO TKL, so there is something to compare it with. The Rockfall EVO version had Kailh Black optical-mechanical switches, while the Rockfall 2 Mecha has Aurum Orange. Tactilely, the second version is softer and less noisy, but it all comes down to subjectivity, so it's better to compare the sound on YouTube. Visually, the keyboards are almost indistinguishable, but the Rockfall 2 Mecha has brighter lighting and overall looks more attractive. Also, unlike the Rockfall EVO, the Rockfall 2 Mecha is slightly heavier, has a detachable cable, and a sound-absorbing layer. However, a key advantage of the Rockfall EVO over the newer version is the Hot Swap, which allows switches to be replaced without disassembling the keyboard. Customizable backlight with both key combinations and software from Windows. Macro settings directly in the Hator software. Keycaps with EN-UKR layout, for which a separate thanks.
High-quality materials overall. The only downside for me is that even with constantly clean hands, the surface dulls - I chose white and was setting up a white setup.
