The light and powerful air rifle with a spring-piston mechanism is "at the top of the table." Cocking the "airgun" to the combat position is done by breaking the barrel after each shot. It uses traditional caliber 4.5 mm lead pellets as ammunition, which leave the rifled barrel at a speed of over 300 m/s. The Hatsan AirTact ED includes an automatic safety and a Quattro Trigger system for adjusting the trigger pull force.

Also ensuring the safe operation of the air rifle is the Anti Bear Trap Safety technology, which protects the springs from premature release during their stretching, preventing injury to the shooter's hands or fingers. The model features a carved ergonomic stock of the "Skeleton" type, made of plastic. The weapon's standard aiming devices include an adjustable rear sight with a front sight. To see better "at a distance," an external optical sight can be mounted on the "dovetail" rail. With an overall length of 114 cm, the rifle weighs about 2.6 kg.
