Blender Benchmark 4.3.0 Score: 216.14. Cinebench R24: CPU (Multi Core) = 961 pts / CPU (Single Core) = 112 pts / MP Ratio – 8.55 x. AIDA64 Extreme: Min = 25 C / Max = 50 C / Average = 46 C. During stress tests, no throttling, crashes, or errors were detected. The number of cores and threads is sufficient, and it handles multitasking well. Lacks integrated graphics but supports overclocking. Suitable for mid-range gaming systems and workstations: provides good FPS, high performance in multitasking, and flexibility in RAM and PCIe, only slightly lagging behind the more expensive six-core Ryzen 7 in narrow rendering tasks. Large third-level cache, larger than the i5 12400F, which improves frame rates by 2–3% in some scenes. 125 W (Max 150 W under real load) ensures stable operation under load but requires effective cooling for overclocking. This processor is working in my PC paired with a KFA2 RTX 3070. This setup is relevant for gaming in all the new releases even in 2025. The cooling for this CPU is handled by the Zezzio ZH-C400 ARGB V2 tower cooler. All of this is housed in a closed DarkFlash DLM21 case with a single 120mm exhaust fan. After 30 minutes of stress testing in OCCT, the maximum temperature was 82 degrees. No throttling has been observed in a year of use. Вирішив оновити систему, замінити свій старенький і5 3470 на щось більш сучасне. Знаю, можжливо треба було брати щось від АМД, але я звик до інтела, та і міняти систему кожен рік коли вийде нова залізка не збираюсь. В моїх планах як мінімум років на 5-6 щоб його вистачило. І для моїх задач його дійсно вистачає, в іграх він себе чудово показує, працює в парі з DDR5 памятью на 6000hz. Залишилось лише взяти більш потужну відеокарту до нього і тоді взагалі все буде файно.
Що до температур, в стрес тесті видає заявлені TDP 150-152Вт, на охладі стоїть башта воді я не дуже довіряю від DeepCool Ak500, яка здатна розвіювати 250Вт тепла. В стрес тесті OCCT температура знаходиться в районі 77-78 градусів, на повній відачі, що як на мене чудовий результат. Cinebanch набрав 15420 попугаїв в мультикорі, що трошки гірше за серверний тедріпер на 32 потоки. Загалом я повністью задоволений процом, а з розрахзуноком що коштував він меньше 200 доларів, так це всазаглі відміний результат як на мене. Так це не поточне коліно, але з урахування що за нове просять як за крило від літака, а проблем з ними значно більше, то я мабуть зробив кращий варіант з урахуванням фінансів і потужності. На Амд, схожа ситема виходила мені дорожче, повірте, я довго сидів і вираховував. Зараз 10 ядерник, та за 7к грн взяти, це як подарунок долі. Але з урахування ситуації зараз з інтел, то мабуть наступна збірка буде на амд Потужний.
10 ядер 16 потоків Тягне все Тримає нову память DDR5 Показує відмінні результати в бенчах, так і в температурних тестах. Прожерливий.

System requirements for AAA games continue to rise, and in 2023 it became obvious that 4-core processors could no longer cope with the tasks. This is especially noticeable in games like Starfield, which seriously loads processors when landing in large cities. Therefore, even for inexpensive gaming systems, it is worth considering modern 6-core processors such as Ryzen 5 or Core i5. One of the best in terms of price-performance ratio is the Core i5-12400.

Unlike the older Core i5 and Core i7 models of the Alder Lake series, the Core i5-12400 uses only Performance cores with high IPC, which are automatically overclocked to 4.4 GHz. Eliminating energy-efficient E-cores allows you to maximize the performance of each core, which is especially important for game engines like Unreal Engine 5. The processor supports DDR5 memory and the PCI-E 5.0 bus, although for low-cost systems it is preferable to use DDR4, since the performance gain from high-frequency memory in games is minimal.
Direct competitor to Ryzen 5 5600
In gaming tests, the i5-12400 shows excellent results, comparable to the more expensive Core i7 of previous generations. Paired with a GeForce RTX 4060 or Radeon RX 7700 XT graphics card, this processor can easily handle modern games at 1080p and 1440p resolutions. An alternative could be the Ryzen 5 5600, which is slightly inferior to the i5-12400 in gaming performance, does not support DDR5 and is tied to the outdated AM4 platform, but is cheaper by one and a half thousand hryvnia.
