Fully automatic
The Krups brand coffee machine occupies an intermediate position between budget and mid-range models. It is equipped with conical stainless steel millstones that ensure grinding of beans (three grinding levels are available), as well as an automatic cappuccino maker with a drain pipe. The latter is capable of simultaneously preparing two servings of milk-coffee drinks and is compatible with various containers: a milk jug, a tetra pack or a regular glass.
Krups Evidence EA 892D is equipped with a milk circuit self-cleaning function and other service modes. Their implementation is extremely important, since all coffee machines of the brand have a non-removable brewing unit.
15 programs
The model offers 15 different programs, including three options for brewing tea. Using the control panel, you can make espresso, lungo, macchiato and cappuccino with one touch. However, the classic recipes for milk drinks are modified here: first the milk is served, then the coffee.
The Extra Shot button deserves special attention, allowing you to prepare drinks based on double espresso. The extended menu includes additional programs, such as Americano, Ristretto and separate milk foam. Each drink can be customized to your preferences, adjusting the strength, volume, temperature and amount of milk (through the duration of foaming). The latter parameters are saved automatically, but there is no option to create personal programs.
Other features
The coffee machine is equipped with a Bluetooth module, which allows you to control it from a smartphone at a short distance. Separately, it is worth noting the stylish design and compact dimensions (24x37x38 cm), which at the same time did not prevent the placement of a capacious hopper for beans (260 grams) and a large water tank (2.3 liters).
The disadvantage is the lack of the ability to use ground coffee, as the design does not provide for a corresponding loading shaft. However, given the price, the Krups Evidence EA 892D remains an interesting choice with the ability to control via a smartphone and useful functions.
