The Melitta Caffeo Passione OT F53/1-102 coffee machine with automatic cappuccino preparation is the top model of the Passione series, which is able to satisfy the needs of the most sophisticated fans of an invigorating drink. The device is made of black glossy plastic in a cubic design, and its top cover is crowned by a low cylindrical superstructure of a coffee grinder for 125 g of grains with adjustable grinding degree (5 levels). The device has 2 zones for heating cups: on the lid of the body for preheating and in the illuminated stand. The adjustable dispenser with 2 nozzles moves along vertical guides, changing the height of the drink delivery up to 140 mm to fit the cup. The control panel is distinguished by large buttons in the upper part of the facade and a TFT colour display located in the middle.

AES pre-soak system

The appliance can be used to prepare 1 or 2 cups of coffee at the same time. The device can prepare 4 classic types of coffee (espresso, crema coffee, latte and cappuccino) at the touch of a button, as well as 6 derivative coffee drinks: americano, ristretto, espresso lungo, espresso macchiato and latte macchiato. In addition, traditional hot milk and water preparation programs can be used to brew teas, herbs and fruit leaves in a variety of recipes to suit your taste. It is possible to save your own drink recipes in the settings. The device is equipped with a 1450 W thermoblock, an efficient pump, a main water tank with a volume of 1.2 liters and a separate container for preparing milk foam. The AES pre-soaking system ensures optimum extraction, bringing out the full flavor and aroma of the coffee.

Economy mode

The device provides the user with a wide range of adjustment options: water hardness (4 levels), temperature (3 levels), drink strength (5 levels) and drink volume (25 – 220 mL). It is also worth noting the presence of an economy mode, a hardware power off button and a built-in auto-off function. An important element of the automatic operation of the machine is the built-in maintenance functions. Light hygienic steam cleaning is available in both automatic and manual modes, while full tank cleaning, including surface decalcification, is easily started from the control panel menu after a reminder on the display. For better access to cleaning the inside of the machine, the brewing unit can be moved to the side.
