Lightweight and manoeuvrable electric hand trimmer (motor scythe) with a lower engine, aluminium bar and battery power. The manufacturer is positioned as a product of the middle price category, designed for mowing grass and controlling young weeds in a garden or house adjoining area of a small area. Ideally complements a conventional 4-wheel rotary lawn mower that is not capable of handling difficult terrain.
Despite the modest electric power and small working width (26 cm), the Makita DUR 181RF trimmer can quickly and efficiently remove grass in the immediate vicinity of the walls of buildings, various structures, fences, fences, curbs and supports. Able to clean up around tree boots or cultivated shrub plantings. Using Makita LXT 18V Lithium-Ion batteries, this tool is completely independent of household power, does not require fuel, and does not generate toxic fumes.
Moderate weight (3.1 kg with battery), modest overall dimensions and the lower location of the electric motor make it a convenient assistant for an amateur gardener. The speed of rotation of the rotor of the electric motor reaches 7800 rpm, and a trimmer head with automatic feeding of polyamide fishing line with a diameter of 1.65 mm is used as a working body. Supports changing the angle of the aluminium rod with a D-handle.
