A transformable flashlight with a bright 450 lm illumination, introduced to the market by the popular National Geographic brand in 2023. In its standard form, the illuminator is L-shaped, which is perfect for head-mounted use. If necessary, the light head can be rotated 90°, which turns the headlamp into a classic hand-held flashlight. The battery pack cover has magnetic properties, making it possible to attach the light to a steel base.
The National Geographic Iluminos Led headlamp has an LED head with a brightness of 450 lumens. An economical glow mode of 50% is available. Additionally, you can use the flashing signal light. The light has a clip that allows you to securely attach the device to your pocket. The model comes with a pre-installed battery. The role of the battery is performed by a rechargeable battery of 16340 format. Battery capacity: 700 mAh. The factory battery has a voltage of 3.7 V, which increases the performance of the illuminator. The device case has IP44 protection. This is a moisture-resistant all-weather model with good impact resistance. The flashlight can withstand use in difficult hiking conditions and during sports. The illuminator can be used at home and at work.

High-quality execution, good brightness, various mounting options, powered by USB, 5-year warranty Low autonomy, localization of instructions ![]() |
What I liked:
1. Design - the L-shape provides 2 usage options, as a headlamp and a compact handheld model. The body is made of metal, I haven't tested the claimed resistance to impacts and moisture. The materials are indeed of high quality, the strap is pleasant although not very light. The lamp itself is also a bit heavy, but after 1.5 hours on my head, I specifically checked and there is no discomfort in my neck or fatigue.
2. Comfortable, quite bright light. The box states that it has an OSRAM diode, I know that this is a reputable manufacturer. There are three modes: approximately 100, 50, and flashing.
3. Powered by USB. The socket is covered with rubber, so it can probably be used in light rain. Plus, there is a simple indication of the charging process when it is charging, a semicircle lights up around the button. At first, I thought it would slowly close into a full circle, but no. When the charging process is finished, the light simply goes out. Overall, it's fine.
4. Various mounting options. There is a strap for the head, a clip for the pocket included, plus a magnet in the body for metal surfaces.
5. 5-year warranty.
What requires getting used to:
The button's location - in headlamp use, it almost presses against the strap, so it's hard to find by touch at first.
What I didn't like:
1. Low autonomy. I tested it once at brightness 50, it lasted just over 1.5 hours. I fully charged it before that. I haven't tried it at brightness 100.
2. There is no Ukrainian language in the instructions, although there is Russian.
