Manual high-aperture cine lens, designed for use with full-frame or APS-C DSLR cameras. The model belongs to the league of 50mm prime lenses for shooting in low-light conditions. Specifically, it is characterized by a maximum aperture of T1.5 (or f/1.4 in more familiar terms). The optical design of the lens is simple — 9 elements in 6 groups, including one aspherical lens. High contrast and accurate color reproduction are ensured by the multi-layer anti-reflective UMC coating.

The Samyang 50mm T1.5 AS UMC VDSLR is equipped with distinctive "geared" focusing and aperture rings with a detailed marked scale for the convenience of video shooting. The front mount of the lens can accommodate 77mm diameter filters. The model is available for all common DSLR and mirrorless mounts: Canon EF, Nikon F, Pentax K, Sony A, as well as Micro 4/3, Fujifilm X, Sony E.
