The optical design of the AF 300mm f2.8 EX APO HSM features two ELD glass elements (Abbe number 90.3) to ensure the absence of chromatic aberration. The internal focus system provides instant and precise focus. Autofocus models for Sigma Sa, Canon and Nikon mounts are equipped with a silent ultrasonic drive HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor). It is possible to use the lens with Sigma teleconverters (APO EX Tele Converter 1.4x and 2x), while the high speed of autofocus remains unchanged. The scope of delivery includes a detachable ring with a tripod socket and a rotatable holder for the internal filter. All optical elements of the lens are made of environmentally friendly glass without lead and arsenic.
