A large long-range "gun" with an eye to work in conjunction with mirrorless cameras of the Sony E-mount and Leica SL-mount systems. The lens shoots at focal lengths from 100 to 400 mm. In the course of zooming, a rather sickly “trunk” leaves its body, and the maximum aperture changes from f / 5.0 to f / 6.3. A possible lack of aperture compensates for an optical stub with a claimed efficiency of up to 4 exposure or exposure steps.
There are two modes of image stabilization, for which there is a special slider on the body of the model. Also in the design of the Sigma 100-400mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS is a stepper motor system for focus, optimized for shooting video with hybrid autofocus. The telephoto lens has a 9-blade aperture and is compatible with 67mm filters. The long-range "gun" weighs almost 1.1 kg. The dimensions of its body in length at the minimum zoom position are 187 mm. The model will come in handy for photo hunters for all kinds of living creatures, sports correspondents and paparazzi.
