An advanced multisport watch is the first in the Spartan family with an integrated optical heart rate monitor (PerformTek from American Valencell). Also, the model of one of the first in the portfolio of the Finnish brand has acquired a colour screen at the head of the “facade”. Suunto Spartan Sport Wrist HR is equipped with a round-shaped touch display with a resolution of 320x300 pixels.
The smartwatch offers advanced analytics, customizable sport profiles, fitness tracker options, and of course the Movescount ecosystem (used to sync workouts and wearable settings). The hardware assets of the model include a GPS module, a compass, an altimeter, a barometer, and a thermometer. A powerful battery provides two weeks of battery life in normal mode and 8 hours of continuous activity in full load mode (with registration of heart rate and location via GPS / GLONASS satellites). Bluetooth Smart technology is used to connect devices. The smartwatch is compatible with iOS and Android smartphones.

I heard a lot about smartwatches, read and even saw / held some models in my hands. It was interesting, but somehow I didn’t want to buy cheap nonsense, but really cool manufacturers are quite expensive. But according to the final result, I can say that I did not spend this decent amount in vain. The watch pleases with both design and user experience. The first thing I really liked is the exterior design. The watch looks awesome on a not-so-small male wrist. The case is made of ultra-durable polymer—polyamide, and the bezel is made of stainless steel. A durable silicone strap with reliable fastening is crucial for sports watches. Secondly, it's a truly cool device for various sports activities. It has as many as 80 profiles for different types of exercises. I constantly use the Movescount app and the built-in presets for running, cycling, and swimming in the pool. Thirdly, the watch is equipped with a great cardiac monitor. To be honest, that's largely the reason I bought these sports smartwatches. Fourthly, these are watches you don't have to worry about. They are excellently protected from water and dust, so you can even dive to a shallow depth with them. The glass is mineral and durable, although it's not sapphire (at this price, they could have included it). Finally, I like their excellent color display. It's not only bright and has decent viewing angles but also touch-sensitive. Synchronization with a smartphone is also very useful, helping to sort out "junk" notifications and avoid distractions over trivial matters. There are problems when synchronizing the watch with a smartphone when using Bluetooth headphones in parallel. The connection does not seem to break, but normal synchronization does not occur either. In order for everything to work as it should, it is necessary to break the connection with the ears, otherwise nothing. If you forget to turn off the GPS, then I can count the hours and not live until the evening. With high positioning accuracy, the battery is consumed quickly. |
