The German manufacturer of tools, machines and construction equipment Scheppach is little known to ordinary consumers. However, its products are quite familiar to professionals and are respected for their high quality and functionality.

The history of this manufacturer began back in 1927, when a family enterprise founded by Josef Scheppach appeared in the German city of Krumbach. The very first products of the young company were machines and tools designed for working with wood.

For quite a long time, Scheppach remained a “local brand”, known only in Germany, and even then not everywhere. Real development began in the 50s of the last century, when the sons of the founder began to manage the company. They radically revised the range of products, expanded it in some ways, and, on the contrary, reduced it in others. So, it was decided to completely abandon the agricultural direction, focusing on machines and tools. It was also decided to move the head office to the city of Ichenhausen, where Scheppach moved in 1961, where it remains to this day.

Over the years of its existence, Scheppach absorbed several competitors and went through several reorganizations. In 1980, a second plant was built. At the beginning of the 21st century, there was an active expansion of the product range, the production of compressors, battery devices and power tools, construction machines, as well as equipment for personal plots began.

Today the company remains a family business.
