The box itself is a transparent container that provides additional protection for the camera and at the same time does not interfere with filming. Protected in this case are boxes that are certified at least according to the IPX8 standard — that is, allowing the camera to work underwater at a depth of 1 m or more. The specific allowable immersion depth may be different, the same applies to the additional protective properties of the box; these points in each case must be clarified separately. However, anyway, this feature will be useful if you plan to shoot underwater or in other extreme situations (for example, in severe frost).
