Value for money, quiet and comfortable keyboard, the SmartGenius app allows you to make sets of "hotkeys" for any application.
The mouse clicks loudly, the keyboard does not indicate the inclusion of Caps Lock, Scroll Lock and Num Lock.

Surprisingly, given the price of just over $10, the Genius SlimStar 8006 wireless keyboard and mouse set does not seem like a cheap and compromise product.

The keyboard is made of durable matte plastic and in general leaves a feeling of a reliable, tightly assembled thing. The keys are glossy with a deepening inside and a soft, quiet move. Gemius called this type of key Chocolate (note: the association with a chocolate bar) and it is used in more expensive models of the company. Thanks to the "chocolate" buttons, it is almost silent, which will come in handy for pen workers, to whom inspiration comes in the late afternoon. The only inconvenience is that the included Caps Lock, Scroll Lock and Num Lock are not displayed on the keyboard itself.

The keyboard does not have an additional block of function keys, but there is a useful SmartGenius application in which any of the 12 system keys (F1-F12) can be assigned to virtually any desired function. For example, half of the block can be allocated for quick work with texts and tables, bringing text formatting and some mathematical operations here. And sharpen the second half for the browser, hanging bookmarks with your favorite sites on free buttons. You can go even further and make your own set of presets for each application and switch them as needed.

At the same time, the mouse here is as simple as possible: 2 main buttons and a wheel with small ribs, which scrolls easily, but without losing a sense of control. For everyday tasks, working with documents and traveling on the Internet, it fits flawlessly. In games where responsiveness is important, the delay will already be noticeable. Well, in contrast to the quiet keyboard, it clicks quite loudly.

Price, palm rest, autonomy, increased range, quick language switch button, gaming keyboard functions.
The mouse sometimes freezes, the keyboard does not always work when typing fast.

The Defender Berkeley C-925 Nano wireless set has several interesting features: affordable prices, a built-in power saving mode that allows the system to work on batteries for up to a year, and a receiver with the ability to distribute the signal over a distance of 15 meters.

The keyboard is membrane, with full key travel and a palm rest. The gaps between the keys and the case are small - this is a plus for both appearance and dirt resistance. The keys feel are at a high level for a “clean membrane”, it is pleasant to work with them. Among the additional features, we highlight a separate “LNG” button for changing the language with one click and gaming functions such as blocking the Windows system keys and switching the cursor arrows to the WASD block. There would still be a full-fledged backlight here and one could call it a full-fledged gaming keyboard.

The included mouse is designed for right-handed use. Its body is covered with a kind of soft-touch plastic, which lies nicely in the hand and does not allow the mouse to slide. Plus, there are rubberized pads on the sides, which also reduce mouse slip. The sensor resolution is 1600 dpi, which is excellent performance considering the price.

Given the price, the set looks very good, but the reviews on the network about it are somewhat contradictory. Some customers complain that after a while the laser mouse starts to freeze for a few seconds, and some keyboard buttons do not respond to pressing when typing quickly. Therefore, the issue of quality here is quite controversial.

Palm rest, high mouse resolution, increased range.
Mouse autonomy.

The 9300F kit from A4 Tech is one of the most interesting wireless kits in terms of price, quality and functionality. Keyboard A4 Tech 9300F has a classic appearance and the same design, so it does not take long to get used to. It belongs to the membrane type (that is, without mechanical parts), its base is a three-layer rubber or silicone gasket laid on top of electronic contacts. In terms of convenience for typing, it can be rated 4 out of 5, one point will be thrown off for an overly soft keystroke.

What makes it unusual is an additional panel with buttons for controlling music, volume, etc. As a rule, it is placed at the top in the middle, here it is placed on the left side of the case and has several additional buttons for controlling the browser, searching and launching the mail client. It’s hard to talk about convenience here, it’s more a matter of habit. But we can definitely say that thanks to the palm rest, typing for many hours is much easier.

The mouse turned out to be universal and quite comfortable. It is symmetrical, so it will serve both left-handers and right-handers with equal success. Its body is covered with a kind of soft-touch plastic, which lies nicely in the hand and does not allow the mouse to slide. The optical sensor guarantees a fairly high resolution (2000 DPI), which is pretty cool considering the low price of the kit. I was also pleased that instead of the standard 10-meter range, here we have all 15 meters. This provides more freedom of action with the mouse. For example, it can be used almost from another room.

But her autonomy is not at all cool, on average she “eats” a set of batteries per month.

The MK540 Advanced is a quality wireless kit from Logitech, consisting of a keyboard and mouse in a familiar form factor. Its advantages are high accuracy, convenience and reliability.

The keyboard of the MK540 Advanced has a streamlined look, and the keys, as if following the shape of fingers, are slightly concave inward. The keyboard turned out to be quite comfortable for working with texts, the keys respond quickly and accurately, the armrest does not let the hands get tired, and the keyboard itself turned out to be almost silent and will not irritate colleagues at the workplace. The layout itself is standard, but there are several additional keys to control the volume, the player and basic applications like the calculator. Plus, the body is built to last and protected from moisture.

Moving from the keyboard to the manipulator, it is immediately worth emphasizing that it is designed equally for both left and right handed work. The laser on the mouse is highly accurate and eliminates the delay in signal transmission, even when the gadget is placed on an uneven and not very comfortable surface.

The Logitech Unifying Receiver, an integral part of the wireless kit, has excellent and high-speed signal transmission capability in a minimal package. It can not be removed from the laptop even when traveling, and a working radius of up to 10 meters will always allow you to take a comfortable position. As for autonomy, the manufacturer promises 36 months of life from a single charge for the keyboard, and 18 months for the mouse. This is a very decent amount of time.

Slim keyboard, build quality and materials, battery compartment with magnetic latch, battery indicator in Windows, additional buttons on the mouse.
The autonomy of the mouse, the price of the kit.

The Dell Premier KM717 Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Set has an ergonomic and stylish design. The body of the keyboard is ultra thin, for more convenience there are retractable legs with which you can lift it from one side. The keyboard looks great, high quality and, as they say, expensive, somewhat reminiscent of models from Apple. It performs well during operation, the buttons are very soft and quiet, and besides, they are large.

The mouse from the Dell KM-717 kit has an unusual curved shape, similar to a crawling snail. This was done to increase convenience - the bend adapts to the shape of the palm so that the fingers do not slip off and fit the body. Therefore, the hand lies comfortably on the mouse and does not get tired.

The batteries in the keyboard last long enough, and when connected via Bluetooth in Windows, you can see the charge level. But for some reason, the batteries in the mouse run out quickly and rarely last more than 3 months. But it is worth praising Dell for a convenient battery compartment with a magnetic latch.

Let's just say that we don't like the price of this kit. Yes, the keyboard and mouse turned out to be stylish, comfortable, durable and thin. Yes, the mouse has several additional keys, and the sensor works adequately even on a glossy surface. But at the same time, there are also disadvantages, such as low autonomy, and the price of the kit is at the level of expensive mechanical keyboards.
