Household multi-split systems

Mitsubishi Heavy kits are usually designated by two articles, the external and internal SRK20ZSPR-S/SRC20ZSPR-S, but there are exceptions.

1. Belonging to the target segment:

  • S — household air conditioner;
  • F is a semi—industrial series, consider the example below;
  • S is a multi—split system, consider below.

2. The type of unit, internal and external, also determines the type of installation:

  • RK — wall-mounted, most of these blocks;
  • RF — outdoor (console);
  • RR — channel block;
  • RC — External unit;
  • CM is the external unit of the multisplit system.

3. The index of nominal performance allows you to visually determine what area the air conditioner is designed for. For example, 20 = ~2000 watts or an area of 20 m2. It is worth paying attention to the fact that this number usually refers to operation in cooling mode, in heating mode, usually, the indicator is slightly higher.

4.Compressor type and operating mode:

  • Z — inverter compressor control, the absence of the letter Z may indicate that there is no inverter, but such models are already considered obsolete and there are only a few of them on the market;
  • H — non-inverter, operation in cooling and heating mode;
  • C — non-invertor design, work only in the cold.

5.Belonging to a certain series, for example:

  • SPR — Standard;
  • XA — Diamond;
  • R — Power;
  • SX — Deluxe;
  • S — Premium.

6.Type of refrigerant

  • S — R410A;
  • W — R32;
  • — the absence may indicate the use of R22.

7.Connection type. In most cases, nothing costs here, which means connecting 220-240V, 50 Hz.

  • 1 — also means 220-240V, 50 Hz;
  • 3 — 380-415V 50 Hz, 3 phases.

Semi-industrial models

Let's analyze an example of a semi-industrial model, the name begins with the letter F.

1. Belonging to a semi-industrial series.

2. Type of indoor unit:

  • DT — cassette, subtypes DTW, DTS, DTQ, various sizes and designs;
  • DF — column;
  • DFU — outdoor, hidden;
  • U/UM — channel;
  • EN — floor/underfloor;
  • DC — indicates that this is an external unit.

3. Similarly to household — rated cooling capacity, calculation example: 125x10 = 12500 watts.

4. Belonging to a series or/and a sub-series, that is, any modification.

External unit of the semi-industrial series

An example of decoding an external block of a semi-industrial series:

1. Belonging to a semi-industrial series.

2. DC is the designation of the external unit.

3. In this place there may be the letter W, from the English. Water — the ability to work on heating water, this applies to heat pumps.

4. Similarly to household — rated cooling capacity, calculation example 125x10 = 12500 watts.

5. Type of power supply:

  • VN — single-phase;
  • VS is three—phase.

6. X — belonging to the Hyper Inverter series, universal external units.

External unit of the multi-split system

Example decryption of the external block of a multi-split system:

1. S — Multi-split system.

2. C — external unit.

3. M — indicates that the block is used in multi-zone systems.

4. Similarly to household — rated cooling capacity, calculation example 60x10 = 6000 watts.

5. Z — inverter.

6. J — series.

7. S — refrigerant R410A. All other variants of refrigerant markings are similar to household ones.
