Usually, Denon AV receivers have a fairly simple and understandable "name". First comes the designation that it is a receiver, then the designation of the series, the serial number of the model in the series, the year of manufacture (individually for each series) and the designation of the various technologies that are supported.

Consider an example:

1. AVR — AV receiver;

2. X — Series;

3. 4th place of the model in the series;

4. 700 — Model year (for this series 700 — 2020, 600 — 2019, 500 — 2018, 400 — 2017, 300 — 2016, 200 — 2015, for other series , it can also be used: 40 — 2018, 50 — 2019, 40 — 2018, 30 — 2017, 20 — 2016, 10 — 2015);

5. H — Compatible with Denon HEOS technology. Earlier models may end with the letter W instead of H, which means wireless networking/streaming support.
