Stable coverage, easy setup, affordable price.
Works only in the 2.4 GHz band, built-in antennas, no wall mount.

Tenda has established itself as a manufacturer of high-quality network equipment. The inexpensive model of the 4G03 router with a built-in slot for a SIM card was no exception to the rule.

The device is made in a semi-oval shape of white soft-touch plastic. The router's connector panel includes two LAN ports (one of which is combined with WAN), a power socket, and an SMA antenna output. The router's own antennas are built directly into the case, but they reach quite a decent distance. The capabilities of the router are enough to cover a 3-room apartment or a small country house.

Tenda 4G03 connects to cable provider networks at speeds up to 100 Mbps. Thanks to the onboard LTE modem, the router can operate from cellular networks of mobile operators. The device supports 3G WCDMA and 4G LTE FDD standards, providing download / upload speeds up to 150/50 Mbps. Mobile coverage can be used as a backup with automatic switching to it in the event of failures at the main cable provider.

Up to 32 client devices connect to the router simultaneously. The router is controlled via a web interface or through the Tenda Wi-Fi mobile application. Among the functions of the model are the inclusion and disabling of Wi-Fi according to the schedule, the creation of guest networks, parental control tools. And with all this, Tenda 4G03 captivates with its democratic cost, which minimally affects the thickness of the wallet.

Gigabit ports, TP-Link OneMesh technology, easy setup.
The glossy panel shows dust and scratches.

When deploying a Wi-Fi network, it is often desirable to have a reserve in case of interruptions with the main Internet from the cable service provider. This opportunity is kindly provided by the TP-LINK Archer MR600 dual-band router with a built-in SIM card slot.

The device is made in the usual form factor with two "horns" of external antennas for receiving a signal from a mobile operator. Built-in antennas are used in the model to serve the local network. The router supports 4G + Cat6 networks with a maximum download speed of up to 300 Mbps and a bandwidth of up to 50 Mbps for sending data. Through a cable connection, the WAN connection to the provider's network is carried out at speeds up to 1 Gbps.

In the 2.4 GHz band, the wireless router provides a data exchange rate of up to 300 Mbps, and at a carrier frequency of 5 GHz - up to 867 Mbps. These indicators are quite enough for comfortable broadcasting of streaming 4K video, network gaming, fast downloading of large files. The router control menu via a web interface or a mobile application has guest networks, parental control, QoS, VPN, IPTV, detailed traffic consumption statistics and a set of other functions.

An important feature of the TP-LINK Archer MR600 is support for OneMesh technology, which is aimed at creating single seamless access networks with imperceptible switching between Wi-Fi network links. The model is not happy except perhaps with an abundance of gloss - dust and small scratches are visible on the shiny upper platform of the device, which is why the router quickly loses its presentable appearance. However, this does not affect the performance of the wireless router in any way.

Stable coating, miniature size, operation in difficult environmental conditions is possible.
Works only in the 2.4 GHz band.

The crumb router Teltonika RUT240 is positioned as an industrial cellular router with the ability to operate in difficult environmental conditions. However, at home or in the country, the device performs no worse than in production.

The model is assembled in a compact aluminium box with overall dimensions of 83x74x25 mm. The router weighs only 125 g. Two Ethernet ports are placed on the front end of the device case. One of them can be used for the main connection to the global network, the second - for a wired connection of a computer or as a backup (if the main provider does not have Internet). The ports have a bandwidth of 100 Mbps.

From the side of the same front end of the case, the router has a slot for a SIM card. The router supports high-speed LTE category 4, which provides speeds up to 150 Mbps. On the opposite end of the case there are three antenna connectors - two for LTE antennas and one for Wi-Fi antenna. Teltonika RUT240 distributes the Internet in a single 2.4 GHz band, providing data exchange rates within the network up to 300 Mbps.

The router remains fully operational in conditions of high humidity, vibration, dust and temperature changes. These criteria explain the industrial design of the model. But again, in a conditional country house, where the conditions are not the most greenhouse, you don’t have to worry about the router - it is guaranteed to work on a year-round basis. Moreover, both from a wired connection, and by receiving a signal from towers of cellular operators.

Wi-Fi 6 support, high-speed data exchange rates, gigabit ports, MU-MIMO, OFDM and Beamforming technologies, ASUS AiProtection integrated network security system.
There are no significant downsides.

The Asus 4G-AX56 balanced router distributes high-speed Internet with efficient redundancy via cellular networks of mobile operators. The device is suitable for serving the needs of a country house, a small office or a small retail outlet in the style of a coffee shop.

The router connects to the provider's network via a gigabit WAN connector, which is adjacent to four bright yellow LAN ports. The device works in wireless mode in the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. In the first case, the bandwidth reaches 574 Mbps, in the second - up to 1201 Mbps. And most importantly, the router has acquired support for wireless networks of the advanced Wi-Fi 6 standard. Together with OFDME, MU-MIMO and Beamforming technologies, the router provides greater bandwidth and high efficiency in networks with dense traffic.

In case there is no wired Internet, a modem with support for 3G / 4G / LTE Cat.6 standards is installed “under the hood” of the model. The data exchange rate is declared within the limits of up to 300/100 Mbps (for downloading and uploading, respectively). Switching to work from mobile access networks can be a fallback option in the event of failures in the main cable connection.

The router is configured through an intuitive menu of the web interface. A separate line in the model is the ASUS AiProtection integrated network security system, which includes tools for blocking malicious sites, security signatures for protecting personal data, parental control functions, etc. Asus 4G-AX56 is able to establish high-speed and secure connection of more than a hundred client devices.

Support for LTE Cat.12, any of the gigabit LAN connectors can be assigned as WAN, USB port, RouterOS Level4 operating system.
There are no significant downsides.

MikroTik Chateau LTE12 is a universal destination router that allows you to receive a signal from both cable providers and mobile operators. The model is able to effectively support a high-speed network in a country house, country house, small office or retail outlet.

The router operates under the leadership of the RouterOS Level4 operating system. It provides tools for limiting Internet speed, creating guest networks, limiting access to resources, VPN settings and much more. Also, through the management interface, you can reassign any of the five gigabit LAN ports to a WAN connection to the cable provider's network.

Four LTE antennas are installed inside the device, operating in MU-MIMO 4x4 mode. In a separate order, two external antennas are connected to the router, for which a pair of SMA connectors is provided. Thanks to support for LTE Cat.12, you can squeeze out the connection speed to the mobile network up to 600 Mbps from the router. Of course, such bandwidth must be supported on the side of the mobile operator.

The Wi-Fi module on board the MikroTik Chateau LTE12 operates in two bands of 2.4 and 5 GHz, and its theoretical data transfer rate reaches 300 and 867 Mbps, respectively. A USB port has been added to the model. The router is designed to deploy really fast Internet anywhere and anytime.
