Dual-band Wi-Fi router (router) AC1200 class with support for wired Gigabit Ethernet network connections and Smart Connect function, which optimizes the choice of operating range depending on the load. The hardware basis of the TP-LINK Archer A64 router is a powerful ARM processor that works in conjunction with two radio modules and four fixed external antennas. With support for MU-MIMO 2x2 technology, the theoretical throughput in the 2.4 GHz band is 400 Mbps, and in the 5 GHz band is 867 Mbps.
In practice, more modest performance values are usually achieved (up to 100 Mbps at 2.4 GHz and up to 300 Mbps at 5 GHz). However, these values are quite enough for comfortable surfing, watching FullHD/UltraHD/4K streaming video on SmartTV, comfortable gaming, flawless operation of web applications and cloud services, transferring large files, and other tasks. 4 antennas and Beamforming technology provide a large area of reliable Wi-Fi coverage.

By the way, there are updates, but I don't know why (I didn't update). There were no freezes or wifi failures. wi-Fi really doesn't have a very long range. The router was purchased as a backup in case the old ARCHER C6 of the same company failed, and after connecting the backup provider in the apartment, it was put into operation as a second link. Although this router is considered more budget-friendly, it works just as well, almost without issues. Occasionally, the connection with the smartphone drops for half a second to a second when the screen is locked, which generally goes unnoticed. Looks more attractive than the previous model, collects less dust. Also, compared to the C6, the device's startup time has significantly decreased, about 2 times. Sometimes the phone disconnects from the network, maybe it will be fixed, but it's not such a serious problem that you want to figure out the solution.
