Performant dual-band wireless router (router) with original design and high data transfer rate. Made in a stylish vertical white plastic case, has an active, but almost silent cooling system. Designed to create a high-speed Wi-Fi network of 802.11b/g/n/ac standards or network cable connections 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet in a home/apartment or small office. The manufacturer is positioned as a product of the highest price category, which, however, is typical for the entire range of Apple.
As a hardware basis of this model, a high-performance dual-core ARM processor Broadcom BCM53019 and two Broadcom BCM4360 radio modules are used. According to the manufacturer, the Apple AirPort Extreme 802.11ac router is capable of providing data transfer rates of up to 216 Mbps in the 2.4 GHz band and 600 Mbps when using a 5 GHz carrier frequency. This bandwidth is sufficient for streaming video content with a resolution of up to 4K, IPTV broadcasting, fast cloud services and file-sharing networks, online gaming and other demanding tasks. The router provides a firewall (Firewall), NAT and DHCP server. Thanks to the USB 2.0 port, it can act as a print server, and access to the printer is also provided for computers running Windows operating systems.
