But it stands out among the "classmates" by the presence of many electronic "assistants" that make the work more convenient. In addition to almost mandatory functions (we are talking about adjusting the speed in the range of 11000 - 28000 rpm), the tool is equipped with constant electronics (responsible for maintaining speed under load), soft start and LED lighting to illuminate the working area. Milling depth can be changed from zero to a maximum of 55 mm. Micrometric adjustment allows you to adjust the immersion depth of the cutter with an accuracy of 0.1 mm. The only thing that can interfere with precise processing is the stiff springs, due to which, in order to lower the head, it is necessary to apply more force to the router than we would like. Over time, they will become a little softer, but while the tool is new, it may not be very comfortable.

In this configuration (unlike the version with article number 060326C820), six cutters are immediately attached to the tool: eaves, profile, fillet, two slots and a dovetail nozzle. In addition to them, in the case with the router there is a guide (which can serve as both a parallel stop and a compass), as well as an adapter for connecting a household or construction vacuum cleaner. The manufacturer did not stint and put three collet nuts in the suitcase at once (well, that's great, because these Bosch accessories are mercilessly expensive in retail). Thanks to the availability of collets of different sizes, you can not only buy and use equipment with “European” shanks with a diameter of 6 and 8 mm, but also order “American” cutters with quarter inch (6.35 mm) shanks in online stores.

Green light for your hobby

Milling cutters are one of those rare segments where the “green” Bosch, designed for amateur craftsmen, is almost as good as the professional “blue”. At the very least, we can safely say that the Bosch POF 1400 ACE with article number 060326C801 is a great option for home carpentry. Its performance may not be enough for a furniture workshop or a sawmill (it is better to buy much more powerful routers there, like Makita RP2301FCX or DeWALT DWE625). But the needs of a carpenter engaged in wood processing as a hobby, this tool closes almost completely. There are even ways to install the Bosch POF 1400 upside down on a table (there are plenty of instructional videos on the internet) to make a makeshift milling machine out of it for a carpentry shop.
