Despite the fact that this camera is equipped with a relatively small APS-C sensor by the standards of professional DSLRs, in most respects it does not lose to most full-frame models, or even surpasses them. So, two DIGIC 6 processors are responsible for image processing at once, which provides a burst speed of 10 fps and Full HD video recording without time limits. The 65-point autofocus module delivers near-instantaneous response. The mentioned matrix has a sensitivity up to ISO 16,000, its resolution is 20 megapixels. The set of connectors includes miniHDMI and USB 3.0. With all this, the camera is capable of providing up to 670 shots on a single battery charge.

Does a full frame make a difference? Is it worth buying a full-frame camera?Do I need to spend money on an expensive full frame or is it better to buy a cropped camera?..

Outperforms its predecessor in every way, a must-buy for 7D fans
3 July 2016
I, as the owner of the first 7D, could not get past its second revision. Moreover, the 7D itself has really become noticeably outdated in seven years. I weighed all the pros and cons, gathered my strength and means, and the price of the 7D Mark II is serious, and bought it.
Updated 20MP matrix. The difference with the older sister is only 2MP, but the noise has become less. Fast 7D autofocus has become instant in this model. It has a new predictive-automatic principle of operation, which is used in the top-end 1D X full-frame camera. The updated exposure meter now measures not only the intensity of visible light, but also takes into account the infrared part of the spectrum. This allows you to more accurately determine the exposure at dusk. You can make THREE separate custom modes. Profile customization, finally, hallelujah. It's pretty handy, I enjoy using it. Continuous shooting has been improved and now you can shoot at the declared speed of 10 fps. In fact, when shooting in jpeg + raw, the speed turned out to be about 8 fps. And those same 10 frames can only be obtained in jpeg. The included Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM lens is suitable for a variety of scenes and shooting conditions. Pretty versatile lens without pronounced flaws. The case is still large and mostly plastic. The plastic is of high quality and wear-resistant, textured where necessary. It has good dust and moisture resistance.
In my opinion, the price is too high and decently. After all, for this money you can already buy a low-cost full frame.
great model, really liked it

The uncompromisingly best crop DSLR for "in the field" work and travel photographers.
Canon has equipped this camera with its best APS-C sensor with a 1.6 crop factor. Photos taken with the EF-S 18-135mm IS STM lens have high detail, and noise at high ISO is minimal. There are a huge number of autofocus settings that have migrated here from expensive professional cameras. By choosing the right focus mode, it's almost impossible to miss a shot - the 65-point cross-type system won't let you down. For dynamic scenes, there's a special tracking mode called AI Servo. I was surprised to learn that the camera uses not only the autofocus module but also the metering sensor for focusing. The Japanese are resourceful, indeed! The metering itself is also very good.
The controls are classic, with one significant difference. There are extensive customization options for the joystick, selectors, both control wheels, and buttons on the body. You can almost completely reconfigure the camera controls to suit your preferences.
A comfortable, large, and bright viewfinder with overlaying service information. The built-in electronic level was very handy for me.
The camera cannot be called compact and lightweight, but it fits excellently in one hand. The "body" is made of durable and lightweight magnesium alloy. It has the necessary dust and moisture protection for reportage work. All areas where your palm and thumb rest have a pleasant-to-touch, non-slip rubber coating.
The built-in GPS does an excellent job of automatically geotagging photos.
No swivel display. I believe that for a "field" camera, this is a significant disadvantage. No 4K video recording. With such a sensor and two Digic 6+ processors, it could have been possible.
