This case can serve as a good basis for assembling a powerful and performant gaming system. The MidiTower platform can accommodate almost any motherboard size, from miniature Mini-ITX and microATX to full-fledged ATX. There is enough space on the chassis to install high-performance graphics and a TOP processor. The maximum length of the graphics card reaches 370 mm, and the maximum height of the processor cooling is 168 mm.
The Deepcool Matrexx 55 MESH case received a perforated front panel with a removable filter. There are perforations covered by protection both on the top panel and on the bottom. To reduce the cost of the case, the manufacturer did not provide a single fan in the standard package, so the coolers will have to be purchased separately. But in total, the case provides 6 seats for the installation of 120 mm fans. From hard drives, you can use 4 HDDs and 2 SSDs. The right side of the system unit is a solid sheet of high-strength tempered glass, while the panel thickness is 4 mm. This case has an older modification, MATREXX 55 ADD-RGB 3F, which additionally provides RGB lighting, 3 standard fans and a tempered glass front panel.

An excellent case for its price. It stands out for its compatibility with many types of motherboards. Very good airflow. You can place a water cooling system up to 280mm on the top. Compared to the older version, this one has many different improvements. The case legs have been changed; they now have a rectangular shape with a soft pad. There are also pads for the power supply unit. On the back panel, there is one removable slot cover for the graphics card, the rest are break-off. The glass no longer extends beyond the boundaries of the case. Good configuration. It includes 10 cable ties, which is rare. Also, there are 3 additional standoffs for E-ATX boards. That's with 9 standoffs already installed in the case. There's a cutout in the shroud for the graphics card cable. There's also the option to install the graphics card vertically, but only if it's a 2-slot one. You can install 140 mm fans at the front and top. The metal is quite thick with a lot of reinforcing ribs. They've added a hard drive activity indicator. Personally, I see the location of the interface ports on the front panel as an advantage. Non-removable hard drive cage. However, they made it possible to move it inside the case for installing long power supply units. The dust filter on the front panel can be removed right away. It doesn't offer anything except for hampering airflow. Incompatible screws on the front panel. Very wide washers interfere with closing the lid with 140 mm fans. The kit lacks 2 screws for the video card. However, they left two long ones from the previous model, which are not relevant in the new one. ![]() |
If you get used to it, the power supply can be pulled out without much effort. Roomy, there is a lot of space for cables, I installed 1 turntable in the back, 3 in the front, and 1 turntable on the CPU, they are quiet, they don’t spin much, the computer hardly gets hot. i would like the video card to be in this case ![]() |
For budget builds in this case, one fan on the rear panel will suffice. My Ryzen 2600x couldn't heat above 65°C under maximum load for 10 minutes. Although the main reason is that the 1050ti video card doesn't tend to overheat. The airflow is excellent if you don't have a bunch of loose cables in the case. A micro-ATX motherboard fit without any issues (it would have been surprising if it didn't). Overall, it's a no-frills case, but it has everything needed for the average and slightly advanced user. Complaints about the steel are, in my opinion, misplaced. During assembly, I never suspected that anything might break. It's better to break out the expansion slot brackets in advance, but it is possible with the motherboard installed as well. Just be very careful, bending it inward, bending the right edge of the slot to the left by a centimeter until it presses against the expansion bracket, and only then breaking it off. There was no pre-installed fan in my case, so double-check the info in the store where you purchase. But that's a minor issue, of course. Sufficiently convenient cable routing Spacious If the right side of the case is against the wall, the case is literally see-through Excellent ventilation Convenient slide-out trays for HDD To install an SSD in the designated slots, you have to perform a bit of a ritual when connecting the power. It is stated that there are 4 slots for 2.5, but I can only see 2, no matter how you look at it. The motherboard standoffs are a bit weak, as I stripped the thread on one while tightening them all equally. ![]() |
