A high-quality sounding two-way acoustic system of medium power in 2.0 format with a built-in amplifier (36 W), tone controls and a case made of dense MDF, which effectively suppresses parasitic resonances. Positioned as a product of the mid-price category of 2025, aimed at demanding users who need high-quality sounding acoustics for outputting sound from a personal computer, laptop, all-in-one or miniPC.
It also works without problems with any TVs, multimedia set-top boxes, game consoles and other devices with an analog output. Provides confidently loud sound, the timbre of which can be further adjusted using a pair of corresponding analog rotary controls on the front panel. Next to them there is a headphone jack, a volume control and an LED activity indicator. The Genius SP-HF1200B acoustic system is equipped with an analog input with 2xRCA connectors and comes with a 3-pin miniJack 3.5mm -> 2xRCA cable, which is used for connection.
The right speaker is active and contains a power supply and an audio frequency amplifier. The left (passive) speaker is connected to the active one and is equipped only with speakers. A combination of dynamic emitters (woofer + tweeter) ensures correct reproduction of the frequency range from 40 Hz to 20,000 Hz, which is enough for listening to any music, watching videos and computer games.

If you’re taking them for a party, music in the garage, and such - the speakers are great. But not for the computer, movies, videos, work. Because they have an active amplifier that simply turns off the speaker in the absence of sound or at low volume - meaning if you’re watching a movie and there’s no sound for 3 seconds or it’s quiet, the speaker will turn off not physically, but the sound itself, and then when the sound comes back, it will pop. That’s how it will always "pop." Also, at medium volume, there’s a wild noise due to the adjustment on the speaker. Loudly, hard. Noise, active amplifier. ![]() |
