Genius SP-HF1800A price graph

Model overview based on user reviews
The Genius SP-HF1800A speakers are a budget-friendly 2.0 speaker set with a stylish design and compact size, making them suitable for limited desk space. They feature a three-way design, which enhances high-frequency performance, and have controls conveniently placed on the front panel. However, the absence of a protective grid on the speakers poses a risk of damage, and the bass reflex port's rear placement requires space from the wall. While the speakers offer rich bass, the sound quality, particularly the low frequencies, can be uncertain and unclear. Some users have noted that the speakers may require adjustments, such as using an equalizer or even modifying the internal components, to achieve a balanced sound. Overall, they are considered a good value for the price, but may not satisfy those seeking high-end audio quality without additional tweaks.

The columns work off every dollar, every ruble and every hryvnia invested in them.

The speakers fully justify every dollar, every ruble, and every hryvnia invested in their purchase. If you want more, then be prepared to pay for more pleasure.
The pros include their appearance - I also agree, not to stand out. I will note right away that they are three-way speakers. And don't be misled by their appearance - a single diffuser was used for the mid-range and low-frequency range in the speakers. Thus, because of this three-way design, the high frequencies are worked out quite well, noticeably better than their less sophisticated counterparts. Moreover, they take up little space on the table, although there's a slight downside here - possibly due to insufficient acoustic volume, the low frequencies aren't as strong, but more on that in the disadvantages section below. At maximum volume, they work smoothly without cutting out, which in plain language means the amplitude of the amplified signal isn't clipped, i.e. due to the correctly chosen mode of operation for the output transistors, the sine wave comes out almost perfect. Otherwise (if clipped), it would be perceived as glaring distortions at high volume. The controls are sensibly placed on the front panel, not dominating everything, i.e. they are in their right place. There is no noticeable hum, even at maximum power, it's within the barely audible permissible background range. For systems of this class (budget), this is ideal.
The most important thing is the absence of a protective grid on the speakers, which can lead to accidental damage of the diffuser - ideally, it would be barely noticeable. The low frequencies sound uncertain and unclear, lacking the clarity one would like. Although demanding perfection for this price is ridiculous! The bass reflex port comes out from the back, which prohibits placing the speakers close to the wall; it (bass reflex port) requires, you know, some space for its work.

    Good speakers
    18 November 2010
The conclusion is simple: I bought this wonder for 1700 rupees - no regrets - they're worth their money! There was a choice between them and Dialog W-3000/JETBALANCE JB-343. I chose Genius 2.0 SP-HF1800A, sitting and listening now - no regrets about the purchase.
Three-way, control knobs are located on the front, don't take up much space on the table, stylish design, wood
Rich bass, but blurred highs (Indications: tweak with the equalizer)
    No, probably not.

After significant refinement, it received a soft balanced sound.

Constructor for those who are able to engage in bringing to working condition.
I bought it just for looks. Work more than 5 years after completion, no complaints.
Poor preamp shielding resulting in strong hum from approaching the hand speaker. I threw out the tweeters - absolutely none, replaced them with others. The mids are out of phase with the lows. Sensitivity as for the company is underestimated, I had to intervene in the circuit beforehand. Adjusted the frequency of the phase inverter. Real reproduction of low after completion reaches 60 Hz. Next up is a steep slope. For those who are far from electronics and acoustic design, I do not recommend buying.
