Model overview based on user reviews
The Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 15ARH05 is a solid gaming laptop with a stylish design and adjustable backlit keyboard. It features a powerful 6-core CPU and a discrete 4GB graphics card, which handle games smoothly, delivering over 60 fps on high settings. The 15.6-inch Full HD IPS display with a 120Hz refresh rate offers excellent color clarity. With 16GB RAM and a combination of SSD and HDD storage, it provides ample space and speed for gaming and multitasking. However, some users reported issues with overheating, a plastic smell, and dead pixels. The battery life varies, lasting up to 8 hours for basic tasks but only 2 hours for gaming. Despite these drawbacks, many users find it a great value for its price, outperforming more expensive models.

DESIGN: very solid, gaming. (there is a cool backlight for the keys with adjustable brightness). CPU: Decent. 6 cores and 12 threads speak to its power in games. And 3 GHz is a great gaming frequency. GFX: also quite praised and additionally discrete (can be replaced if needed, not integrated with the processor). Volume: 4 GB, (I played many games on maximum settings, and it was sufficient everywhere (Mafia I: Definitive Edition runs smoothly and clearly, giving more than 60 fps on this laptop), (Mafia II: Definitive Edition - even more than in Mafia I: Definitive Edition, approximately a 10 fps difference). (That's if you play on SSD). DISPLAY: 15.6 Inch (which makes for a pleasant and not too small perception of games and work overall), excellent and clear color transmission with IPS and Full HD resolution, with an excellent, non-distracting refresh rate (providing smooth gameplay) - 120 Hz. RAM: 16 GB - which is definitely enough for any game at a maximum frequency of 3200 for DDR4. DISK (HDD): On durable rotation - 5400 RPM at 1000 GB (in reality 931 GB) I googled it, and it costs 4000 RUB (a very solid price for such rotation). DISK (SSD): Good slot with decent data transfer speed. NVMe support (meaning it's very fast) at 256 (237 actually) GB, which is enough for downloading a small number of games and for the system operation itself. (again, I googled 4500 RUB. that's a good price, and the specifications are decent too). CAMERA: HD (actually decent) with a privacy shutter. MICROPHONE: good quality. Sorry, but it didn't fit (there's a character limit), so let's continue: + BATTERY: With regular use, it lasts for 8 hours (without using the internet, just in Word or in folders). When using the internet, it lasts for 7 hours (screen brightness at 40%, which is comfortable for me), and for 2 hours when gaming. The laptop is smart and came already set to the maximum settings, I only had to change the Windows background to a dark theme. It is set up (this can be removed or adjusted) to save power when the battery is at 20% or less. This interferes with gaming. So your 120 max FPS drops to 35-45 FPS. (DON'T BE SCARED, you just need to either change this in the settings (Google how), or plug in your laptop and your FPS will immediately return to the previous level. WINDOWS: It would have been better if it came without it. Because a pirate 10 Pro is better than a licensed Home. I'll explain why. In practice, I encountered one problem. In short, 2 weeks after buying the laptop, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and similar programs stopped working for me, roughly and briefly speaking they blocked everything and wrote PAY!!! So subscribe. I didn't like this and had to completely remove the DAMN, ALREADY INSTALLED Office Microsoft 365 from the disk HELL! Downloading Office 2016, I was told that this old stuff isn't suitable for my system, while my friend on pirate 10 Pro had no problems with 2016 without a subscription. I searched for a long time and some 2020 worked. I would like 3 ports (HDMI), although these 2 are great in speed. ![]() |
Laptop is good, bought the version with 16GB RAM, 1650TI, Ryzen 5 4600H, and 512GB SSD + Good SSD drive + 1650TI with 4GB, quite a good graphics card + Good 5 Ryzen 4600H processor with a max frequency of 4000Hz performs well in games and work + Good design, looks stylish and doesn't rush to reveal itself as a gaming laptop + 2 USB ports, but 3.1 + Relatively lightweight -Price (Although it depends more on the exchange rate and perhaps on the miners) - Heats up crazily if you don't set the max FPS (30-60 maximum) Sometimes, in some games, it outputs 100-200 FPS, causing the CPU temperature to jump to 90 and then slowly cool down to 80, staying in this temperature range - Inability or difficulty to upgrade, except for the HDD (specifically for my version, others can add a second SSD or hard drive, as well as RAM) -Only 2 USB ports |
I bought a Lenovo laptop and returned it the next day for three reasons: 1. Dead pixel at eye level below the camera 2. It reeks terribly of plastic 3. It overheats. This was strange since I bought a laptop without Windows, and when I tried installing it via a flash drive, I was fiddling with the BIOS. I hadn’t even started the installation, and the fans started buzzing horribly. And naturally, with the rising temperature, the plastic smell got even worse. I returned it to the store; it was the last piece, so maybe that's why I was unlucky with the pixel. But the plastic smell, the smudged body, and very noticeable light leaks don't just happen over time. I will never buy a Lenovo product again, IMHO. Thanks to Citilink for taking it back and refunding me. I don't recommend it to anyone; I don't understand why there are good reviews, great ratings, and bloggers praise it. I didn’t take a photo of the serial number, but the one on the box is RPA0643533, and it has a dent. If you even want to buy this laptop, at least make sure you don’t get one with a dead pixel! 4800H 1650ti 16GB 512GB The iron is fine. Heats up, smells like plastic, stains easily, dead pixels, noticeable backlight, very heavy for 15.6. |

COOLING: Excellent, it doesn't interfere with use. Not particularly noisy, it only turns on when necessary. Not rattling or creaking.
