The Makita cordless trimmer is a solution at the junction of the entry-level and mid-price segments. The model is not equipped with a battery and charger, but on sale you can find related variations with batteries of different capacities "on board". It is also worth considering that the model is compatible with various batteries within the 18V LXT proprietary platform, which means that the scythe is able to interest owners of other Makita equipment that is already equipped with a battery.
The Makita DUR181Z trimmer provides for the top location of the motor, since the total weight is quite small 3.1 kg. The position of the rod relative to the working head is adjustable - 5 positions are available to the user. This is useful, among other things, when mowing grass in hard-to-reach places, such as the area under the bench. Other advantages of the model include a telescopic rod with the ability to change the height in the 20 cm range (from 1.23 to 1.43 m): this will make it possible to choose the optimal value for the height of the operator. As a working attachment, it is proposed to use a line reel with a modest working width of 26 cm: it is primarily suitable for small jobs and mowing in small areas.
