Line MSI Katana GF66 11UE
Well-balanced mid-range gaming laptops from the relatively new Katana gaming line that Taiwanese manufacturer MSI announced in 2021. Characteristic features of the models are the presence of a solid-state NVMe drive with a capacity of 512 to 1024 GB, a high-performance video card from the NVIDIA Ampere family and a high-quality IPS gaming display with a refresh rate of 144 Hz.
A capacious and fast drive will allow you to store a serious collection of games, forgetting about the old and clumsy hard drive. A quality gaming display is responsive and fluid enough to display dynamic gaming scenes without tearing or stuttering. And the RTX 3050/3060 graphics card provides a pleasant and smooth gaming experience at high graphics settings in almost any gaming blockbusters of recent years (Elder Ring, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Forza Horizon 5).
The drive and graphics card are complemented by a Core i5 / Core i7 (11th generation, Tiger Lake) processor with support for multi-threaded processing and auto-overclocking, plus 8/16 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM. The amount of RAM can be independently increased up to 64 GB. Also on the motherboard there is an additional M.2 connector for connecting a second SSD drive. The proprietary cooling system with 6 heat pipes and separate thermal modules for the CPU and GPU is responsible for removing excess heat from the installed iron. A stable network connection is provided by a network module with a dedicated LAN port and a wireless receiver (Wi-Fi 6 + Bluetooth 5.2). Other features of the series include an old-school red backlit gaming keyboard, red backlit keyboards, and 2-channel Hi-Res Audio with Nahimic proprietary system support.

The noise level of the fans depends on the load; if you choose maximum power, those around you will hear them clearly and quite loudly, but it's fine with headphones. I strongly recommend getting an extension cord right away; the power adapter will replace the heating, and the power cord is relatively short (about 1m). Not very loud (at maximum cooling level, you can still clearly hear the conversation partner :D) Good support and utilities Performance "Hot" keys and comfortable keyboard Small for its capabilities Acceptable temperature under maximum load The stereo system is just a nightmare, sound like it's coming from a dump, nahimic helps a little. The microphones (claimed to be 3) can do something with fine-tuning. A left-hander will get burns playing. The air exhaust goes back and to the left side, and the air is quite hot with prolonged use. The power supply can substitute a kettle (I put my cup of coffee on it, and it keeps the temperature for an hour or more :D) Sometimes there are glitches with turning the microphone and camera on/off from native "hot keys," but it might be the fault of win11. Very smudgy, any touch will leave your fingerprint for a long time. The elevation is a bit low; you need a stand for the rear legs or a table with holes for cooling to work best. Works quite poorly with 2.4 network; under network loads, it might just disconnect the network, but I haven't figured out the reasons, possibly it's win11's fault.
