MSI Katana GF66 11UE [GF66 11UE-609XUA] price graph

Model overview based on user reviews
The MSI Katana GF66 11UE is a well-regarded laptop with several standout features. Users appreciate its good screen quality and the ability to add an SSD in the second slot. The design is non-aggressive, making it appealing for those who prefer a more understated look. However, the laptop's casing is very smudgy, and the cooling system might be uncomfortable for left-handed users due to the hot air exhaust on the left side. Performance-wise, it handles tasks well, though the fans can be quite loud under maximum load. The stereo system is not highly rated, and the power supply can get quite warm, even being humorously compared to a kettle. Despite these drawbacks, the laptop is considered an excellent model within its price range, especially for those who can overlook its minor inconveniences.

    Cons

    good model, like it

The noise level of the fans depends on the load; if you choose maximum power, those around you will hear them clearly and quite loudly, but it's fine with headphones. With maximum cooling in AIDA64 during a stress test, after 5 minutes, the processor throttles by 10%. If there are any issues, I'll update.
There is a utility for downloading drivers
    Good screen
Possibility to add SSD in the second slot
    Non-aggressive design
One outlet blows to the left, so it will be hot for left-handers. Very smudgy casing.

Despite all the drawbacks, an excellent model within 1500 in current realities

I strongly recommend getting an extension cord right away; the power adapter will replace the heating, and the power cord is relatively short (about 1m).
Not very loud (at maximum cooling level, you can still clearly hear the conversation partner :D)
    Good support and utilities
    Performance
    "Hot" keys and comfortable keyboard
    Small for its capabilities
    Acceptable temperature under maximum load
The stereo system is just a nightmare, sound like it's coming from a dump, nahimic helps a little.
The microphones (claimed to be 3) can do something with fine-tuning.
A left-hander will get burns playing. The air exhaust goes back and to the left side, and the air is quite hot with prolonged use.
The power supply can substitute a kettle (I put my cup of coffee on it, and it keeps the temperature for an hour or more :D)
Sometimes there are glitches with turning the microphone and camera on/off from native "hot keys," but it might be the fault of win11.
Very smudgy, any touch will leave your fingerprint for a long time.
The elevation is a bit low; you need a stand for the rear legs or a table with holes for cooling to work best.
Works quite poorly with 2.4 network; under network loads, it might just disconnect the network, but I haven't figured out the reasons, possibly it's win11's fault.
