The Ryobi RBC-18X20B4F cordless trimmer has enough power to cope with household tasks of medium-sized lawn care in home gardens and summer cottages. It cuts well even long and juicy grass. And to fight weeds with thick stems or shrubs, you can replace the head with a fishing line with a three-bladed knife (included in the kit), which easily cuts even huge burdocks, cow parsnip and thin branches.

Design features

The motor, together with the gearbox and the battery pack, is located on top. The trimmer comes with a shoulder strap that is similar in design to the harness used by professional lawnmowers. The suspension system distributes the weight of the tool (5.5 kg) on both shoulders and completely unloads the hands. The tool is equipped with a "bicycle" handle with comfortable rubberized handles. There are no special options for customizing the instrument for your height. Although the bar is collapsible (the trimmer can be folded in half for storage and carrying), it is impossible to adjust its length. On the other hand, due to the good balance of the tool, in most cases, only adjusting the length of the suspension strap can be enough.

Judging by user reviews, the 4 Ah battery that comes with the trimmer is enough for about 25 - 30 minutes of continuous mowing of a thick lawn (that is, it is better to buy an additional battery for a large lawn). However, few people will survive more than 30 minutes because of the tight start button, on which you need to constantly hold the index finger of your right hand during operation. If you already have a high-capacity Ryobi battery (batteries from 4 Ah to 9 Ah are suitable for the trimmer) from other tools or garden equipment, then you can save money and buy a “carcass” without batteries, which costs much less.
